Worf had the store set up perfectly and stood behind the counter as if expecting a pop inspection of the store.

Clearly he has no life.

Tony showed up early so he could try out the sweat lodge before work. He wasn't exactly sure what was supposed to happen besides sweating but whatever it was, he didn't think he was doing it right. It was probably something like meditation.

He sucked at meditation.

After giving up on that for the day, Tony opened up the shop and tried out one of the didgeridoos. He could almost get it to make a sound.

Teddy was had somehow managed to find a dictionary at work today and started to idly flip through it.Surrounded by comics and he starts to read a dictionary.

His only excuse was that he was very, very tired.

A few calls had been trickling in with regards to this apparent Laundry Strike, some with simple confusion, some with indignation, some with concern. Daisy assured any of the callers that everything should be fine, so long as the striker weren't aggravated, and spent a good deal of her time reviewing over riot control guidelines.

Although, really, if the whole thing did turn aggressive, her recent experiences with appliances told her all they'd need to do was call in Sarah with a souffle.

[[ open station is open! ]]
[identity profile] laceycantlie.livejournal.com
Lacey was apparently doing her best impression of the Caritas band, shuffling around the diner mostly asleep, and not even all the coffee she could drink (she'd designated one burner on the machine just for herself today) was helping.

Renting and watching all three extended editions of King of the Bracelets last night had not been one of her better ideas.

The kitchen staff, for their part, were braced just in case all the caffeine kicked in at once and she got scary on them.

Above the specials board was a sign matching the one in the window, reading:

Romeo pulled the books and booted the computer program Turtle would need to look at, then spent most of his morning trying to rearrange the wall of winter coats. It was harder than it seemed; every time he moved one style, the gestalt of the display was destroyed and he'd have to move five others.

Once he was finally satisfied with that, he went back to the counter and tried to wipe all the crumbs and spilled alcohol out of the ledger and files of records. Absinthe turned out to stain the worst.

[OOC: Open store, no OCD.]

Joan realized that her job was likely to get very busy over the next month, with the coming holiday. As such, she was making sure she was up to speed on all of the products they had available.

With all the work he'd been doing, using the hologram now seemed like second nature. Ender opened up the simulated hull of his 'satellite' and ran through the insides. Or the lack of them. He was still figuring out how the mechanics would work, and although he got the theory, the practice stayed a case of try and fail and try again.

He enjoyed it a lot, and if anyone asked, he might even mention that it was fun.

[ open as always! ]
[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com
Chad was still occasionally finding pieces of broken CDs from when Nana was here on Friday scattered this way and that, although well hidden under shelves or drum kits. Really, it was Prince Oscar Pedro who found most of the remaining ones, stalking around the store, his body low and lean as it crouched close to the floor, hunting them down and then proceeding to chase and play with them all over the place. He'd lose it underneath the counter or a listening chair, and the hunt would begin again.

Chad found it utterly fascinating to watch, and his head provided a commentary as if it were all just another episode of Carnivorous Kingdom.

Today's Mix: Meow Mix

Groovy Tunes is open.
[identity profile] perfectmissyork.livejournal.com
The installation yesterday had gone very well, very smoothly, and so there wasn't a whole lot more to do to get the gallery ready for the opening on Wednesday. All the catering stuff, sure, but that could be done tomorrow. Today, Charlotte decided, was going to be for a nice little bit of relaxing with a latte and a book. It was, after all, very important to give one's self little moments of appreciation for work well done.

And they let her bring Elizabeth Taylor in, too, especially since she was being such a good dog, yeees, laying all nice and quiet at Mommy's feet. Such a good, pretty dog who hadn't even once so far tried to chew through a Choo.

[[ open for all your coffee shop needs! ]]

Alex opened up the shop after class, wondering what the next class would be about. She just hoped no one died of embarrassment, like Edmund had said.

Tidying up, Alex decided to practice a few spells while she had the shop to herself.

The Magic Box was open!

It was just another day at town hall.

Cable was busy with some correspondence involving some shady people in Middle Asia he felt could-- well, he wasn't going to go into that. Between bits of letters he was adding little notes to his file on most of the newcomers based on what had been on radio over the past week.

Just your ordinary post-new-kids day at town hall. It was starting to become routine.

[ open! ]

Seregil opened up the shop and settled down behind the counter with a tome of Shakespeare. Watching the play that weekend had renewed his interest in reading the man's work.

The Book Haven was open.

Triela was actually feeling somewhat upbeat as she arrived at work today. She wasn't sure why. Nothing had happened recently to warrant it or anything like that. Still, she wasn't the sort to over-scrutinize a good mood, so she just went about her business.

Of course Triela's good mood wasa bit hard to differentiate from all her other moods, but that was a different issue entirely.
[identity profile] minnesota-teen.livejournal.com
Having met up earlier in the lobby of the dorms, the small group of... non double-dating people -

Okay, so she and Liir were dating. Still, totally not a double-date. Unless Angela and Priestly hooked up and... hm.

Whatever, they made it to the pizza place without much awkwardness, really, and settled into a booth.

Amber bounced on her seat. "So... this is going to be fun, right?" Of course it was. She brought a handful of quarters for the jukebox and dropped them on the counter.

[OOC: For those mentioned above who were modded with permission, although this is a public place so enjoy it if you will! Up early for SP justice!]

Caritas, Monday

Arashi felt like he’d been living in a daze over the past month or so and now he had to work to make up for it and to shake off the stupor that had somehow settled over everything.

It was good to be back in the bar though working again, out of the house and seeing people, even if it was just Tino and the zombies…who technically didn’t really count as people…

Whistling softly as he cleaned up, Arashi went over to the door, flipped the sign to open and unlocked the door.

The bar was ready for business.

The Gig, Monday

Bender had wedged a couple of - empty - beer bottles across the yard and, after quickly checking on the horses, had set himself up with a couple of metal rods.

His first swing went -thataway, losing the ball. Blaming his tools, Bender trotted back and forth from the anvil to the yard, the clatter of hammer easily audible as he went about some fine tuning.

The Gig was open.
