Even though it left her occasionally having to stifle a yawn, Daisy was glad for having helped with radio last night and having gotten a head start on her transcript stuff. There was a lot of news to cover from the weekend, and, really, they'd have to wait, because there was a lot of paperwork in the Fandom Trooper Station today.

But that was okay.

Daisy would much rather have paperwork than zombies.

Chad...realized that he might have to have a talk with Hurley. He was pretty sure the guy meant well, and he was actually pretty impressed that he went to work even though he was a zombie.

...but if Prince Oscar Pedro dragged out one more random piece of something's body out from underneath the shelves, Chad did not know what he was going to do.

He doubted they were actually from Hurley, considering everyone was back to normal, and some of them might have been from his own shift Friday, but...details, details.

Today's Mix: Fun Run One.

Groovy Tunes is open.

Lacey was Not Going To Talk About It, quite simply. She'd gone home and showered and showered and . . . showered . . . and showered, and then consoled herself by making a nice rum cake (with flour and eggs, thank you), drinking what was left of the bottle, and going to bed.

Today, having to clean off a few stray parts from around the diner put a bit of a crack in her denial, so Lacey was just going to be over there, in the corner, polishing the coffee machine within an inch of its life (Life. Life! Not undeath!) and telling herself the entire thing had been one of Hank's long, insane rambles, and it had just gotten to her a liiiiiiiiiiittle too much.

Which led to questions of why on earth she'd been on the phone with Hank in the first place, which in turn led to oh no, do I have a crush on -- EW, which . . . see? Denial. And a very maniacally smiling Lacey.

Today's Special
Turkey, Roast Beef, and Cheddar Melt
Stuffed French Toast with Fruit Topping
Caaaaaaaaaaaaake Oreo Cheesecake

Luke's is open. LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA.
[identity profile] zombiemcbitey.livejournal.com
After the beautiful lights of yesterday evening, the zombies had found themselves listless. Directionless. Lacking a master and a will, and their plaintive cries could occasionally be heard echoing in the preserve.

It was a relief of sorts when midnight struck, and they fell down with nothing more than a grateful sigh. It was finally time to sleep again.

Some were transported back to their original resting place, gravesides smoothed over with new grass and fresh flowers atop them, as if nothing had ever happened. Other bodies magically appeared on the beach, stacked neatly atop great piles of wood. It was almost as if the island wanted all traces of the last week gone from its shores.

If some of its more...proactive residents wanted to help that along, well, it wouldn't mind at all.

[Open, if you feel the need to salt and burn a few bodies to keep the nightmares away. So ends this semester's BDE! Now excuse us, please, while we try to go find our brains...]

If it wasn't the Monday before prom, Romeo wouldn't have opened the shop. As it was, he wasn't letting Dojima out of his sight for more than an instant.

So Pixie Dust was open, and a selection of evening gowns and tuxedos had been haphazardly pulled onto the racks at the front of the store for people to shop from, but the manager was huddled behind the counter with his girlfriend, looking at her as if he expected her to fly away at any second.

[OOC: Open shop. Dojima modded with permission.]

Worf was still a kitten.

Worf was not amused.

We're not going to ask how he got the store up and running while being just a kitten. But he did.

Wellspring is open. Beware of the kitty.

The zombies were all dead, and so, in celebration, Sokka brought his chinchilla to work. ...Hey, it made sense at the time.

"You should have seen me, Momohead! I'm really starting to get the hang of this slaying-the-undead thing! The zombies were all, 'grr', and I was all whooossh -- boomerang to the FACE!!! Those slimy zombies didn't stand a chance. BOO-YAH!!! OW!!!"

Sokka leaned down and rubbed his ankle. "Oh, CRUD. A gremlin! Apu, turn off the security cameras, before I do something stupid! Don't let me... um..."

Ron Stoppable straightened up and scratched his head. "Now, what was I saying?" He cocked his head towards Momo Jr., as if listening to the rodent talk. "Oh, right, Rufus. Yeah. The zombies. They were all, 'grr', and I was all 'Hyaaaah! Hwah! YAH! WOO! Hyaaaaah!'" He jumped around, karate-chopping the air. "And down they went! BOO-YAH!!!"

The gremlin... was confused. Usually, people CHANGED when it bit them. Just to be safe, it bit Sokka again.

"AAAAAAGH!!! OW OW OW OW OW!!!" Ron hopped out from behind the counter, with a gremlin attached to his leg. "Get it off me! Get it OFF me!!!" The gremlin let go, eventually, and just at that moment, Ron's pants fell down.

"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... Not again! K.P.!"

Triela had felt that her job was something of an odd joke since she'd been hired. She wasn't even sure what the Freelance Police did other than place her under arrest on an irregular basis. But after the past week Triela had decided that maybe having another group of armed people around, especially if they thought of it as their job to protect the community.

Not that she was entirely sure that's how her bosses thought...

Still, it was with something approaching actual interest that she went about her assigned duties when she arrived. She even remembered to make sure Leonard got something to eat.

There was no point in spending his time crying about what had happened during the zombie invasion. Ender showed up on time at work, with his laptop full of more Formic data - it was a trickle what he got, but he took it all gladly anyway - and set back to work on the satellite.

When he didn't have his eyes set on all the images on his screen, that was, and that wasn't as often as you'd think. He still did a credible job of making it look like work.

Lily hadn't even seen the gremlin before it took a niece little chomp out of her foot while getting ready for work in the morning. Not that she would have been able to do anything about it even if she had.

This was why there was a Lily dressed in a grass skirt and coconut bra doing the hula on her way through random parts of town.

It was best not to ask where she got the outfit.

[Open! SP warning as my availability is rough today, but dammit I had to and I WILL MAKE IT WORK.]
