Ned was pleased to see that the alligators were gone when he went to leave for his shift at Luke's this morning. He'd stayed mostly hidden yesterday and would have done the same today if the alligators were still roaming the streets. With them gone, he was able to get to work. The staff were chattering excitedly about those alligators but Ned mostly ignored them. He didn't think saying 'I hid' would be the most macho thing to come out of his mouth. So, he smiled politely and nodded as he went about setting things up.

Hurley hesitated a bit before heading out to work this morning. The whole alligator business had freaked him out a little. Today, however, seemed a wee bit safer. So, he put on a random CD as he busied himself at the shop.

He frowned when Crocodile Rock started playing.

Groovy Tunes was open!

[ooc: The post will be so too, after OCD! Open now, yay!]

Gwynn arrived early as usual and set about feeding and grooming the horses. It was only when she had let the horses out in the paddock and came back to the barn that she noticed her boss asleep in the hay.

Not wanting to startle her -- or be attacked by the pitchfork nearby -- Gwynn went and got some juice and some fruit and sat in on a plate. She overturned a bucket and put the plate on top of that.

Satisfied that her boss would have breakfast when she woke up from whatever she might have gotten herself into, Gwynn went back out to the paddock.

She believed that it was Smudge's turn for a ride today.

While everything seemed to be back to normal after yesterday's madness, Mary was still worried. She hadn't seen a trace of Dani all night and was hoping that poor girl hadn't ended up as a gator snack.

And speaking of gator snacks... "No, Gunther, you are not serving up one of those mutant things," she said, frowning. "They came out of the sewer! I don't think they're fit for human consumption."

Pizza Planet, Saturday

It was peaceful today. Quiet, even, but Jen was used to the odd quiet that tended to come after insanely fighty days.

The kitchen guys looked disappointed, though; they'd had fun holding down the fort after Jen took off to go be bright pink and helmeted in the park.

Even if the first thing Jen had done when she arrived today was to debrief each of them on what had happened after she'd left them to their own devices, and then tell them exactly what each of them could have done better. Some habits were hard to break. At least they knew she'd leave them alone between noon and 1, when she made a beeline for that TV.

[OOC: I may use a little muscle to get what I need; I may sink a little drink and shout out "No OCD!" Er. Yes. Open, though I'm gonna likely be in and out for the next couple of hours.]

Jess was a little out of breath when he got to the shop, having raced over on the trip through town. Just because he didn't see any alligators didn't mean it was impossible for any of them to still be out there, and considering his history with violent animals, he wasn't going to take any chances. Even when he got inside, he still peeked out the windows every once in a while to see if it was still safe.

[OCD-free!]

The past weekend had been quite entertaining, but of course was now something that was Not To Be Mentioned Again. At least it was for a certain cranky ninja.

Care Fina was back to its normal self, with the owners present and human again. The staff almost seemed a little envious, somehow.

Today's Specials:
Corned Beef and Cabbage
Chocolate Cake

Turtle was incredibly relieved to find everything in the store in tact and in good working order when she came in, a little sore (mostly her trigger finger) from the fighting yesterday. She settled behind the counter with a sigh, contemplating paperwork and actually, for once, not really feeling up to.

Apu thought it was funny to come out wearing alligator shoes and an alligator handbag and matching jacket and hat from Clothing. Turtle promptly informed him that it so wasn't.

Special Today!
25% off all medical aid
Bandages, antiseptics, etc, etc

Today's Squishy flavours: Red, Grape Judas, Gumbo

Yes, Charlotte was at the computer behind the reception desk today. No, she was not shoe shopping.

...She was dress shopping instead.

But every so often, she took a break to look at some articles and reviews of current exhibits going on in New York, especially if she and Dale were any time soon going to take a little trip there for a couple of day.

But mostly, it was about looking for dress ideas. Shh.

The York Gallery is open!

Robin was confused by the storyline he was reading in the comics. The aliens were sending mixed messages, did they want to conquer humanity or wipe them out? And since he didn't know half of these characters, for all he knew the shape shifters might not even have replaced anyone, they'd just created an identity for themselves.

He couldn't tear himself away.

Not even the realization that his birthday was in two days (man that'd really snuck up on him!) could distract from the suspense.

[Open!]

Marion had no urge whatsoever to go to the sleepover so she was happy to show up to work tonight. Today she was spending her shift re-filling the pretzel bowls. Now if she could only keep herself from eating them.

"I could swear it's over here..."

Two lost souls, searching for coffee. Two drunk souls, searching for the Perk.

Yeah, this'll end well.

[ooc: for [livejournal.com profile] youcantfollowme, but open if one is out that late in the park, after dark, with some snark.]
