Honestly, after a week off Katchoo could have happily blown off work today except for the empty wallet. Empty -- wow, she was actually going to need a new one, soon; the lining was falling out. Except there really wasn't much to put in there in the first place.

Still -- it was tempting. In the end, the emptiness of the wallet combined with Clocky's shrill persistence to send Katchoo grumbling out the door and into town to open the shop.

She considered putting up a "GO AWAY" sign on the door, but readily acknowledged that was pretty silly. Oh well. She'd just content herself with sketching today, and hope she could get away with pretending to be too engrossed in what she was doing to hear people. It could work.

[OOC: The OCD is staying home to run my CafeTown cafe for me while I'm at work. Oh, shut up -- I wish I could make it do that.]

Oooh, the shop was moved around. Jack familiarized himself with the new layout, just to make sure everything was easy to find.

And that he was easy to find. Right there, between his Punching People class and Dark Arts classes. He was not trying on fedoras. He was...rearranging them, and using his head as a temporary placeholder.

[Open! No OCD, as it's stuck behind the display case of fedoras]

The plants were a bit put out, so she imagined, at her week-long absence from them and so Ino was taking extra time to pay more attention than per usual to them and assuring them that, yes, she did still love them. Adored them, even.

Which was only the truth. Besides, it gave her something to do that wasn’t studying or moping or wondering what her next mission would be like.

There were boxes. And boxes. And -- oh, look, more boxes. At least the work of stocking inventory kept her mind off of the reason she had to restock everything.

Aphrodite shifted her phone against her ear as she opened another box.

"You don't get it, Cupid. It was humiliating! For a moment there was a real attraction there. Until I woke up, and by then, well, the potion had worn off."
Phone call to Cupid )
"Right. Bye, Cupie." But he'd already hung up.

Aphrodite quietly finished unpacking her inventory, shelving things with a frown, and hanging even the sexiest of lingerie without really seeing it. Finally finished, she zapped the boxes into a broken down pile, all tied together, then sent them to the back store room.

Finding Hercules, she picked him up and stood in the window petting him for several long moments.

"Leave Fandom." She whispered to the cat. "I could leave Fandom." The question was, should she? And she really had no answer to that.

'Dite's Decadent Delights is open.

(ooc: post open! No, she's not leaving. The fact that she called Cupid is for broadcast, topic is NFB.)

This was going to be the last week for the neo-surrealism exhibit, so Sophie was paging through art catalogs, trying to decide on her next display. Halloween themes? Day of the Dead? Samhaine? Hmmmm.

There was hot cider, tea, and coffee on the sideboard, and a little plate of cookies.

Liir decided to focus on desserts today. He wasn't sure why he wanted to, really, but when he had feelings he tried to follow the ones he could. And so:
Today's Specials

Pomegranate Creme Brulee
Chocolate Mousse
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

The cafe was open.

[and the OCD ODed on chocolate]

Atlas Gym - Wednesday

Beka looked guilty when she slipped into the gym that morning. She'd not managed to look at any of the aerobics discs and her guilty look betrayed her instantly. After getting a lecture from the npc instructor, she was dragged off to follow another aerobics class. That wasn't enough. The rest of the day, the instructor had aerobics classes playing on the television.

Beka was expecting there to be some kind of test at the end of the day so she did her best to pay attention when she'd a moment to spare. It wasn't easy when she kept thinking of the city Emma had taken her and Karla to the previous day.

The Lighthouse, and the museum and gift shop were open. Tully was ready to show people the tower, or sell them stuff. The museum was a self guided tour. In the gift shop could be found just about any kind of Lighthouse knick knacks. Plus books and videos.

It was kind of the off season, but he'd still gotten a few enthusiasts come visit. As he was looking at their entry in the book (there was a place where people could write down their names and where they were from and little comments), Tully heard the distinct sound of footsteps in the hall. No one was there.

"They didn't hurt anything." he assured the ghost.
