Cordelia was still in a good mood, and she bounced around the shop, humming along with the music as she worked on some winter displays and paired up some cute outfits for the racks. She'd even brought along extra goodies from her bake-craze the night before.

Hinata was, though she did not know it, the utter opposite of the only other girl, on the island, from her world today. She, for instance, had slept the sleep of the innocent and woken up completely refreshed.

Work was something she greeted with quiet delight as Yei tumbled around her ankles and purred mightily while she set up the shop.

As far as Hinata was concerned, all was well with the world, and she was perfectly okay with that.

Ino had pink-tinted shades shielding her eyes today in an attempt to keep any sort of light from setting off her head even worse. She felt like crap and probably looked it and really didn't care about anything but the fact that the painkillers could start working their magic any second now really.

She was at work, but not doing particularly much that could be considered work as Ino was slumped at the counter with her head in her arms and wishing she was dead to the world.

Stupid responsibilities. Stupid headaches. Stupid freakin' nightmares.

Jono had gotten next to no sleep, last night. It possibly showed most clearly when he made his way into Groovy Tunes, and did not immediately crank the music up as loudly as it would go. Nope. Today was a 'walk into the shop, pick something loud and angry, and then play it very, very quietly' day.

Because with all of the emotional reverb that he'd been trying to ignore last night, he had a bit of a headache, and couldn't exactly take a Tylenol for it. Bollocks.

[The OCD has fled on account of LJ sucks and I don't want to be here for ten hours trying to post it. I work today, so I'll grab pings in the evening when I get home.]

The shop was done up for Halloween, with candy, pumpkins, scarecrows and ghosts everywhere and a large display of costumes at the front of the shop.

Just don't ask the girl behind the counter if she's going as a goth this year. It will make her glare.

Halloween Sale
10% off all costumes
50% off candy if you shop in costume

Squishy flavors: Ghoulish grape, horrifying hard cider, rampaging red.

Jack was busily checking websites on the shop computer, trying to find Halloween costumes, looking at costume sites, and costume rating sites. It was not a productive day.

[No OCD!]

In addition to the usual things available at the shop, there was now a rack for books of Native American ghost stories.

The weird part of it was, he'd heard some of these stories before, and never known they were Native American in origin.

He was putting up a sign outside:

If the movies this week are giving you nightmares,
come take advantage of our 10% off dream catchers sale!

Wow there were a lot of horror comics. Some based on movies, some that movies were based on. Tim had flipped through them. He thought the movies were better. Well the ones the comics were based on anyway.

"Wonder what Baba Yaga would have made of the things we humans come up with on our own."

Geoffrey was eying the calendar.

Now, anywhere else, he would be reasonably settled to the fact that Halloween was coming up, but he'd been here for going on two years now and as such, he was somewhat wary. Understandably wary. They were dealing with fairies in this play, after all. The whole thing was just asking for trouble.

Was anything going to happen? He didn't know. Was he canceling rehersal? HELL no.

That was why the door was open, the muffins were up, and the coffee and tea were flowing freely (well, they were available. It would have been kind of soggy if it'd been flowing freely).

He'd just... pray, very quietly, that nothing happened.

It was an exhausted and drained Raven that arrived to open Decadent Delights Tuesday afternoon. If she'd bothered to think about it, she probably would have come to the conclusion that it would have been wiser had she just stayed in her room and called in sick to Aphrodite, but she hadn't, so here she was.

Of course, the merchandise around her just made her all twitchy and ill again.

Decadent Delights was open, and the empath was there, for the moment at least.

Fiona was...

Alive. Doing all right. Practically attached to her phone. In between research, filing, and answering phones, she was discussing the situation with Eliot. Some of what he was saying (including a few comments on his, er, friendship with Peyton) made a lot of sense; some of it was kind of troubling and they'd ended up playing vocabulary insult more than a few times when it wasn't expected. Either way...

Mary's computer troubles continued again today, with Facebook refusing to load on her laptop. "Come on! I have sparkly watermelons waiting!" she kept shouting at the screen. It was only after Gunther started laughing hysterically than she realized that she may not want to be bragging about the size of her harvest.

The staff wanted to know if Lion-o had a good time at the dance on Friday, but they were disappointed to find that he hadn't done much.

"Yes, I really stayed in the corner all evening," Lion-o repeated for the pepper shaker. "I mean, Momoko did get me to dance at one point. But I didn't know how and she had to show me..."

He stopped talking when he realized that the forks and spoons were all giggling behind his back.

Café Fina was open, but don't mind Lion-o if he's trying to avoid talking.

Marshall was at work, yep. And totally not late. He wasn't late so long as nobody mentioned he was late. Those were the rules.

Jack laid back in his chair, bundled up against the autumn air, and just listened to the waves lapping against the side of the boat, and felt the boat's subtle movements.

...And, what the hell, tried to kel'no'reem. It wasn't really working for him.

Eventually, he started snoring.

The sign on the dock read:
