As per Chuck's advice, Castiel was still wearing the three piece suit.

Yes, that wasn't an "again", that was a "still".

He was currently in the church, tidying things up. Not that things in the church tended to get that untidy, save when gremlins were attacking, but still. The house of God should be an orderly one.

Angelbane was following him around, leaving cat hair and toys and dead bugs in her wake, and thus ensuring that Castiel never actually finishing tidying.

[ooc: expecting one, but the church is always open.]

A few months ago, Lacey had discovered Google Reader. Several weeks after that, she'd learned how to actually use it. (Her fault for letting Hank explain it to her.) Several weeks after that, she'd amassed a decent list of subscriptions to the RSS feeds of various blogs on cooking, environmentalism, health and fitness, and several of the -Ist city blogs.

Occasionally, going through those feeds gave her player her ideas for things to implement at the diner, and the staff had developed a reflexive twitch for the days she came breezing in with an extra-sunny "Morning, guys!" and an eager bounce in her step. And occasionally a bag of craft supplies. Like today, for example, with the addenda to the specials board.

Today's Specials
Fennel and Tangerine Salad
The Bacone
(Eggs, biscuit gravy, and hashbrowns stuffed in a bacon cone and topped with a buttermilk biscuit)
PIE

NOW HIRING: See Manager for Details (Tues., Fri., Sat., Sun.)

***Lunch Special: Half off for bicyclists!***

Yes, the pie was back on the menu. She was over her brief grudge against it, and it was an ideological thing. It was just that Lacey was missing the point of the cycling special, which she'd seen on one of those -Ist blogs. Why would you need to promote alternatives to driving on an island too small for cars?

Luke's is open, and watch out for the point that whizzed right by Lacey. It's embedded in the wall over there, see?

The carnival had been a distraction, although Ender wouldn't be able to tell you if it was one he'd enjoyed or not. Either way, he was happy to be back to work the next day (the weirdo), poking around a prototype he'd just started to finally piece together.

It had been a long time coming. Messing with the wiring kept him pleasantly numb.

Joan was still mildly uncomfortable about the discussion in her philosophy class today when she got to work. Reading through all the notes her coworkers and boss had left didn't do anything to ease that discomfort. Especially since the shipment of teddy bear vase huggers had arrived.

Well, they're here. And they don't look evil, but we all know that looks can be deceiving around here.

After scribbling her own note, she got started on a fabulous Valentine's Day window display.

Covent Garden Flowers

Vida Boheme, prop.
Fresh flowers from nosegays to bouquets!
Delivery available upon request.

Claire got to work and immediately began unpacking the shipment of holiday themed comics that had arrived.

She pulled some old issues and re-arranged a few things to create a corner that was very pink and red.

It had been a quiet weekend for Dani, who wasn't really a carnival kind of girl. Once she had taken care of the horses, Dani retreated to the office to start preparing the financial statements for January. Of course, accounting was loads of fun, so she would be happy to drop everything if someone came in wanting riding lessons.

The Gig was open!

Alex couldn't believe it was February. A shipment of potions and charms pertaining to Valentine's Day had come in and she took a moment to inspect them before setting up the display.

The Magic Box is open.

Anyone who had been into Decadent Delights in the past would probably think it was a totally different shop altogether. For all essential purposes, it was. The gremlin attack had given 'Dite an opportunity for total redecoration, and Dinah had reminded her that, being a goddess, she really could do anything she wanted with it.

For instance, there was now a winding staircase that led up to a second floor. Up there one would find clothing; everything from bedroom wear to the finest in dungeon attire. To make sure a customer felt comfortable making a purchase, there was a fitting room. One at a time in the fitting room, please.

One the main floor there was now a wall where the railing used to be, and this area had been enlarged and expanded. In this area were the books, videos, cards, candy and novelty gifts. The truly decadent pieces were to be found in the back room, still organized into areas of 'Men', 'Women', 'Either', and 'BDSM'.

There was plenty of pink in the store, but the walls had more of a stone look. The effect was reminiscent of a Greek temple, and it made 'Dite sigh happily every time she looked around. The only part of the store that remained the same was the small counseling room up front.

The door was open. The sign invited people in. Hercules had finally come out of his hiding place to preen on the new front counter.

"You stay off the second floor, Herc. No peeking under dressing room doors." Herc ignored her and continued cleaning his fur.

Decadent Delights is Open.

(ooc: post open, store open. Might be gone for a couple hours this afternoon, but around for most of the day.)

Claudia was giving Kurt's image inducer a test run, which meant that, at the moment, it looked like Kurt was sitting about three feet away from her, mimicking her every movement.

This was totally progress.

[ooc: no OCD, but expect slowness if you ping in]

Makita was settling in decently at her job. She still had no idea what was actually fashionable -- she just burned things she didn't like -- and now she was finally starting to write-up a wishlist of things she liked at the store, and comparing it against her budget. Makita liked her hat and oversize boots, but a few pairs of pants and some new shirts wouldn't be remiss.

Pixie Dust was open, but your shopgirl is more interested in shopping for herself instead of you.

[The OCD quit when it saw the snow.]

The papers seemed to be a permanent fixture for Lulu, these last few days: spread out on a table before her were various notes and such, the beginning of her business plan for Cafe Fina. She had a large mug of coffee, steaming, fragrant with hazelnut, placed carefully among the papers, doing her best to avoid any spills.

As always, she is more than botherable if anyone cares to say hi.

It wasn't his normal work day, but Dimitri had reports to catch up on. And if you thought it was easy writing an interim report to the Headmistress when your charge was currently a wild animal, well, you hadn't been in Fandom very long.

Emerging from his office feeling frustrated with his composition, Dimitri set up a team of new dummies and pulled his long, silver stake from its sheath. It was a good test for their durability, after all.

[Open! Please interrupt him! Random snow day means I'm around.]

There was a big banner in the window today of a rainbow, at the end of which was a harp. The banner read:

Celebrate Gay, Lesbian and Transgender History Month, and Happy Feast of St. Brigid. From Goddess to Saint, at least you weren't forgotten.

Oz had been unable to think of a clever way to incorporate Black History Month into the banner as well, so there was second banner proclaiming it. There were depictions of Africa and The Caribbean Islands on that one.

As for himself, Oz settled in to recover from his week-long sojourn to Alaska to search for his cousin Jordy who'd gotten himself lost.

When Tino got to work today, he found Adrian already behind the bar, everything set up, sitting with a drink and a cigarette. It completely freaked him out.

Which was exactly why Adrian did it.

[I warn you now, my brain is mush.]
