Hurley had a whole plan. He'd gotten out of Santa Rosa about two weeks ago, and discovered that the weird relative time thing meant he could still make Hoshi's birthday. He booked a portal, all ready for a surprise visit.

Of course, when he got here and called her and got no answer, that kinda sucked. When he checked the recent radion podcasts, well... that explained why there was no answer. Just his luck, really.

So Hurley sat in J,GOB, idly munching on a bear claw. He put out a few other handwavy calls to his friends, letting him know he was around today. That'd be cool. Just... not as cool as seeing Hoshi for the first time in months.

[ooc: Open post! If you think Hurley would have called you, he did.]

Yep. Another week has rolled by and once again Gunn is back in the graveyard doing his weekly patrol among the gravestones.

And even though nothing has changed in the last umpteen weeks on patrol, he still checks every damn grave for any signs of disturbances or changes that might have occurred from the week before. Of course there were no changes and there probably wouldn't be but that wasn't going to stop Gunn from doing the same damn thing as before.

Why? Hey, it's all about the mission.

[Open for the next hour or two and then SP until late tonight.]

Endearing portrait of an old man, feeding bread crumbs to the ducks at the pond, and jotting down thoughts of the golden years of his life?

Guess again. More like mad scientist with a pocket full of altered offering and recording the results of each chemical on the fowl. Progress was going terribly slow, though; they seemed to be wholly avoiding the ones Farnsworth hoped would activate duck berserker mode to attack and incapacitate his students so they wouldn't be able to come to class.

"What do you think this is?" he testily asked one of the ducks. "A gourmet buffet?"

Pronounced, of course, gor-met buf-fet.

[[ I'm stuck working in a slow coffee shop until way too late tonight. save me. Open park is open. ]]

Dinah had returned Momoko's call, and invited her to sparring practice on the beach. Well, that plus explanations.

While she waited, she practiced her scream at half-strength, causing a small corridor to form between waves of water.

Where the puddle had come from was a mystery, given the complete lack of rain Fandom had been experiencing.

The puddle wasn't really holding Marcus' attention, despite the fact that it was smack bang in the middle of the gateway to the junkyard.

No, what was holding his attention were the fins.

He weighed it up, asking himself what the chance was that there were actually sharks in the puddle.

"Pretty damn good," he muttered and decided not to walk through it. Instead, he hopped the chainlink fence, avoiding the puddle and its piscine potential entirely.

[Open junkyard, but there be puddle sharks in the gateway, for which you can blame [livejournal.com profile] weetinyreese!]

It was a typical day at the store, which meant Sean was rearranging anything K-Mart or Lindsay might've done -- though K-Mart was the one who typically moved things around -- and then settling behind the counter with his laptop.

Today he was trying to keep up with emails from his family. One from Bryce, a tentative update on how his music was going. One from Thomas, asking in traditional Nast condescending fashion how "that little store" was going. One from Josef... well, being Josef.

He quickly gave up on the family email and went back to playing games.

Hope was feeling listless and she wasn't quite sure why. The island provided more than enough chaos for her to feed on, so that wasn't it. But beyond that, she wasn't sure. Maybe the fact that she didn't have a whole lot of friends on the island? Could be. But whatever it was, it was driving her crazy.

Which would probably be why the store was sparkling clean. When all else fails, clean.

Hope's last act was to mop the floors; that done, she plopped behind the counter with a Squishy.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Accomplished, Confusion, Orange.

Damon was spending his shift reading through the pile of gossip rags he brought with him from his apartment. Why did he care about Jessica Simpson's fluctuating weight so much? Even he could not answer you.

Arya had the shop open bright and early unlike her mun with this post and started on the store wide inventory catalog. She wanted to be certain all of the items on the list were currently in stock.
