It was a peculiar thing to realize that she was done with classes this summer and, depending on how things turned out next summer that this… might've been her last full summer on Fandom.

And by peculiar, she meant rather depressing.

Which meant that Ino had turned the radio up in self-defence and was curled up in her chair. Maybe she'd dance about in a bit. If she felt like it. Who knew, maybe the movement would drive thoughts she didn't want to think away.

Probably not, but well, she lived in hope sometimes.

As if to make up for the lack of meeting last week, the plans for Magic and Support reserves this week were action-packed and very complex.

They were detailed on the posters put up in the usual spot behind the dorms.

It took three whole lines.

OOC: Wait for the OCD, plz is up! Yes, we're all lazy. MP is so lazy, in fact, that she can't be bothered to even post this very thing she wrote.]

Lion-o wasn't sure why the cook decided to pick up balloons and bring them in to decorate the diner. It looked pretty cool at first, but Lion-o quickly got annoyed every time he turned around and found balloons blocking his way.

"There's no chance that they might be sentient balloons, right?" Lion-o the cook after the behavior of the balloons made him suspicious. It was Fandom, so every possibility had to be considered.

There had been a new shipment of merchandise, so naturally Shelley was trying things on - lots of things. There were two huge piles in the middle of the store. Ever few minutes Shelley would come out of the fitting room and yell, "Must buy!" and toss something on the larger of the two piles. Though sometimes she would come out and whisper, "Must hide from the public till I have the money to buy," and toss something into the other.

For the last few years, birthdays just hadn't been that big of a deal to Jason. Mostly, it had been a matter of practicality - what was the point in getting excited about a birthday when your mother couldn't get you anything, or you were living on your own? This year, he hadn't bothered to tell anyone, and he'd tried to ignore the small pang of regret he'd felt when Monday had come and gone like any other day.

He'd almost totally forgotten about the day when he got a message from the post office saying he had mail that he needed to pick up. He wasn't expecting anything, but he also wasn't terribly surprised when his mail turned out to be a birthday card and money from Bruce that had been sitting in his box since Monday. Of course Bruce would know the right date, even without him saying anything, and of course he'd acknowledge his birthday without being asked. Jason supposed this was one of those things he'd have to get used to again, being part of a kind of family. Oh, how hard his new life was.

As soon as he was done reading the card, Jason headed for Chilly Boulder. Bruce's message said to spend the money wisely and, well, ice cream sundaes were always a wise decision.

[Dear internet, thank you for coughing up the exact date of Jason's birthday two days late fffffff. Ahem. Open for all your ice cream needs!]

To amuse himself throughout today's shift, Alexander was idly shifting through a sheaf of papers found in a chest someone had brought in, probably unaware that the papers were even there. They were mostly drawings, not very well done, but they were interesting, and then he came across something particularly intriguing.

"What's this?" he asked no on in particular as he extracted out a paper. "A magic...smap?"

Yup. It said smap. It was also written in crayon on what looked like the back of a seafood restaurant placemat, but it was amazing ho easy it was to get lost in such a magic smap.

Hannibal wasn't doing much tonight. Tino was requesting random ass songs for the band to play and Hannibal was shooting spitballs at Tino. All in all, it was a slow, lazy night.
