Ino had studied her schedule, idly contemplated who she hadn’t talked to in a while, wondered about places she could go that would be fun, and wound up making a decision.

See, picking Elphaba had meant that some of her options had been prudently cut out because Ino was a) not stupid and b) not cruel in this particular case and c) respectful of what she thought were some of Elphaba’s issues.

If pressed, she’d admit that she figured she owed it to Liir to look out for his mother in some universe. That she liked Elphaba for herself helped a fair bit too.

Which meant after handwavily inviting Elphaba out, with a list of what she’d need and the promise to explain why if she’d just meet up here, at this and this time, Ino was waiting, patiently, outside of the onsen.

And hoping this was a good idea. She definitely didn’t want it to backfire on her. At least the place wouldn’t be very busy, since it was the middle of the afternoon in the middle of the week and most people would probably either have class or have work.

She tilted her head up and studied the sky, absently running over a few other things in her head.

[Ino is expecting/waiting for Elphie, but totally open if others want to use the onsen/talk to Ino, yes. Up early because of the chances of some work-induced SP.]

The hotel was expected to be busier than usual today. Homecoming was this weekend, after all. There were reservations to take and a few extra preparations to make in order for things to run smoothly. Ellie was ready for the challenge.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Lindsay didn't set up a new display this time. She was too busy thinking about Homecoming and whether she would attend the dance or not. She actually ended up having a good time last year when she went. At least this time she would not be forced to go as punishment for skipping class. That was something.

MCA Lobby, 10/21

Today was a non-daycare day for Cally. She instead was behind the apartment building lobby counter, with a toddler secured into a little bouncy chair thing she'd rigged up herself.

It may or may not have looked dangerous.

Okay, it did. But Cally had tested it for safety, and Nicky was completely safe in that thing. He also, if the elastic straps were pulled back strongly enough, could be launched clear across the lobby.

Cally did not intend on that ever happening. It was just a by-product of her construction process.

If anyone needed assistance, she'd stop cooing over her child to help you.

[ooc: Open, OCD free!]

Faith had given up on the clock.

For today only.

She was going to try to make the thing work -she had put all the pieces in place and the stupid ancient thing was still not working- later when she didn't feel like smashing it against a wall. What kind of advertisement would that be, after all?

But the store is open!

Today found Cally behind the counter again after a week off. If she was showing less interest in doodling on the LCD tablet on display this morning than she was in searching the global network for information on modern styles of dance, well. There had been an assignment, all right?

There might, however, have been something that resembled a dress (as sketched by someone who usually sketches landscapes) on the tablet. Shh. What an LCD tablet gets up to in its own free time is nobody's business.

[OOC: The OCD disappeared to the same place my ability to stay awake did. If you see either, please let me know.]

Tara had brought Mr. Moxy to work with her today, and was driving him nuts with catnip and twine.

The Magic Box wasn't the neatest shop in the world today, but it was definitely open.

[OOC: OCD is being used as a cat toy. SP warning: Go.]

Christian had borrowed a keyboard to poke at today, and was singing softly to himself as he went about the business of running the store.

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stayed too long
I'd probably break down and cry

Rinoa's eyes weren't blue, but the rest of the song felt about right.

[OOC: OCD is afraid Axl Rose will eat it. SP warning still on.]

It certainly wasn't a date, no, but Jono and Ariel had set a date, in order to go to the cinema after Glee Club in order to catch whatever happened to be playing at the time. Really, rather than thinking of it as a date or anything like it, Jono preferred to think of it as a prize. A prize for not feeling a jot more than a whit better in the face of realizing that he was a horrible onion murderer once it was pointed out that at least he'd stayed a male on Sunday.

... It didn't actually make full and complete sense to Jonothon, either.

NOW PLAYING:
Hey Jude

//I think you'll like this one, luv,// Jono noted as they stepped into the line. //Plenty of music, supposed to be quite artistic.//

And it helped that he was a bit of a Beatles fan.

[Tacked up for Ariel for suuuuper sloooowplay, but open for anyone else who might be at the MST3k, too.]

Last week had been awesome -- snow or no snow -- and having a couple of days with girl-Reno was always fun, even if she was relieved that he was boy-shaped again. And now? And now she was bck to her store! Rewiring a droid and bouncing along to whatever came on the radio.

See? Today was awesome. And Fixer-Uppers was open!

There was a dance. Thing. This weekend. Whatever. Was she supposed to go?

She'd ... buy a dress. She guessed. If she had to go. She didn't exactly feel like it.

Whatever.
