Vida was rapidly descending into hell...otherwise known as Valentine's Day.

She'd been on the phone all morning, booking product for the upcoming holiday, when she got an email from one of the vendors offering a Floral Love Monkey. She picked up the phone again to place an order. That out of the way, she flitted about the shop, inspecting the cut flowers and watering the plants.

Bod's second week of work was a little quieter than his first. He'd had a rather difficult week and while he'd gone about greeting every single member of the staff, he hadn't done much else. They'd started cooking and he'd started making sure the diner was ready to be opened and patronized.

Earlier in the day, he'd called Jacob and then, just because he'd felt productive, sent a message to Ariel and Puck. He hadn't had a single thought to that the voicemails wouldn't be received properly.

It was Friday, therefore Hope was at work. Not necessarily doing a whole lot, unless spontaneously rearranging the magazine rack and giving the vendors a fit when they eventually saw it counted, but still. At work. That had to count for something.

Also? Yay, new students! They were kind of fun to see. She was so easily amused.

Today's Squishy flavors: Contentment, Productivity, Blue.

She was not excited. Not even smiling to the point she could hurt herself just because she was out of practice.

...Alright, so she was a bit excited, fine. It was a job, and it had music, and she had earned it herself...sort of. Jono had said he would give the job to anyone, so all in all, she had been lucky enough to go to the right place at the right time. Now all she had to do was her work; she could manage that, she liked music anyway, and had made a living out of it for a while. "I can do this", said as she entered the store and inspected it before opening. First of all, she needed music, as it only made sense there would be such thing for the customers to enter and not get hit with a wall of silence --and perhaps her immediate indifference before she remembered she had to be nice and stuff.

After a bit of messing with the computer on the counter, Charlie had a growing playlist going on; she would of course not touch whatever anyone had put in there, but her list? It was starting to look totally awesome.

Clicking play, she got comfortable on her spot behind the counter, and tried to put her best 'The Customer Is Always Right' face on; she had classes on the fifth period, which meant she had some hours of work coming, and then she would come back and stick for a little longer, as she actually didn't mind the place.

Arya felt that the store needed a change. She decided to re-arrange the front display first, to see if that helped. If not, she'd continue the trend until she was satisfied.

Jessica woke up as darkness fell and headed over to Caritas to open up for the night. She picked up her phone to call Sookie and whine a little bit, unaware that her message had been completely misdirected, then started studying her bartender's guide. The "Closed Casket" drink sounded interesting...

Ben, in between fighting off what seemed like hundreds of pop-ups on his laptop ("Fill out this intensely personal survey to win a thousand dollars!" "Meet singles just like you!" "Redecorating small spaces!" "Do YOU have PTSD?!") had been getting phone messages forwarded from the phone in his dorm room.

Raven's message in particular had him puzzled.

He split his time searching for more powerful anti-viral software and doing research about Jesus ("HAVE YOU ACCEPTED JESUS AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR?" "FREE BOOK OF MORMON!!!!1") in preparation for the movie afternoon he had planned with Ender and Karla.

Tim set down the comic with a sigh. "Galaxy Quest and Zombies. The genre has now gone and jumped the undead shark." In his opinion anyway. "At least the creators of Space Battles are still holding out."

He took a look around the store, just making sure everything was in order. At closing time he would be heading back to his apartment for the last time, just to get his things. He thought he'd be sadder to leave this time around than he was. Maybe it was because the most important Fandomite to him wasn't on the island anyway.

[Android's Dungeon is open of course. This will be Tim's last post as a townie. Next stop is Expat Land.]

After her morning class, Kate had found herself dealing with a case of restlessness. She'd considered heading down to the gym, but somehow she felt this called for getting out of the dorms. That meant she ended up just wandering around town for a good while before finally ducking into Fast Eddie's. She figured some time on the dancing games would be just what the doctor ordered.

And since some of the other games felt a little less pointless if you were competing with someone, she called Bobby to invite him to join her (since she'd been in class when he'd taken off, and she hadn't noticed yet), and then after a moment did the same for Puck. She figured he might be good with arcade games, and they hadn't talked in ages, anyway.

Of course, she had no idea the messages didn't reach the people they were meant to, not even after getting a few random messages. She just thought some people in this town were weirdos, end of story.

And she had Dance Dance Revolution highscores to try and beat.

... Well, in between occasionally checking her phone only to find some new messages that started to make her think she wouldn't be surprised if no one showed up to meet her. She could only wonder which unlucky people her own voicemails had ended up with.

[ooc: Open place in town is open, whether you're just a random person or someone who was invited by accident!]
