William was tinkering with a circuit board in the shop today, pondering the idea of checking to see if he'd managed to save enough to buy a computer of his very own. He'd been employed for a while now, and it wasn't like he'd spent his wages on anything besides the few articles of modern clothing Ariel had helped him pick out.

So, yes. Some more research into available brands and features was in order, but it was something he decided he ought to pursue.

Post Office: Wednesday

It was your typical day at the post office. Mail was being sorted. Mail was being sent out. Mail was coming in. The crack staff in the post office where chirping happily about their jobs.

Meanwhile K was reviewing the news from the last few days with a scowl on his face. As the interview he was watching went on and on, the scowl on K's face grew bigger and bigger. By the time the quote about "droopy-eyed, armless children" was uttered, K had enough and shut down his terminal.

"I knew it was a bad idea to let him on the planet," he muttered to himself.

The rest of the mail staff decided it was best to stay out of K's way for the rest of the day.

[Charlie Sheen ingested all the OCD right before his 20/20 interview.]

Last week, Hank had bribed the panda with cheese-related promises. Today, it was time to pay the piper. Or the panda, considering.

So there was a sign in the window saying
SALE!!!
All cheese 50% off!

The catch was, of course, that the store only carried Panda brand cheese today. If you were hoping for another brand? Too bad. Any cheese that the panda didn't approve of was stuffed in a big storage fridge in the back, hidden under a tarp.

Today's Squishy flavors: Panda Mozzarella, Panda Cheddar, Grape Judas

While Lion-o had enjoyed spring break, he felt a little bit out of the loop to hear the kitchen staff eagerly discussing some movie trailer he hadn't seen. In fact, it took a while before the busboy finally mentioned to Lion-o that the trailer was on YouTube if he wanted to see it before next week. Lion-o made a note to do that before next week's shift so he could at least understand what everyone was talking about.

Today's Specials
Portobello Burgers with Pesto, Provolone and Roasted Peppers
Grilled Chive Potatoes
Sticky Toffee Banana Pudding

It was a thoughtful Kate that showed up to open the theater today. Not broody, not emo, just... thoughtful. There had been a lot of stuff, the last couple of days, and it was kind of good to be at work again, even if that meant a lot of time spent on her own. She could always busy herself with making sure nothing on display was past its sell-by date, and occasionally sneaking into the theater proper to appreciate Academy Award winner Colin Firth.

Oh yeah, and she supposed it wasn't a bad movie in other, less shallow ways either.

TODAY'S SHOWING:
The King's Speech

MST3000 was open!

There were two days until the opening of the club and things were finally starting to gel together: the bars had been restocked with alcohol, juices, sodas and a half-dozen varieties of synthetic bloods (you have your priorities, Eric has his), the chairs and tables had arrived, and the all-important bathroom renovations were finally finished.

Not bad work for a week. It helped, Eric reflected, that he was kind of an imposing individual. The DJ was performing yet another soundcheck (tonight's musical choice seemed to be early millennium trance. He made a mental note to replace the DJ), and Eric was pacing the club to check the acoustics.

The front door was open, the "help wanted" sign was still posted, but the club was closed. At least for a few more nights.

[OOC: But Eric is completely botherable!]

When Nathan wandered into the bar, he caught Tino in the middle of switching labels on various bottles of booze. For a second, Tino just stared at him like he'd been caught with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar. And, for a second, Nathan let him think that by glaring and stalking back behind the bar like Tino was about to receive a whipping or something.

"Why the fuck didn't you wait till I got here to do that?" Nathan asked, frowning. "I would have helped!"

Relieved, Tino shrugged and gestured to the booze selection in a clear signal that Nathan was welcome to help. And Nathan was not going to turn that down. Hell no. If someone complained, well, he'd blame Tino.

When Ramona asked for a 'nice date,' Bruce figured Cafe Fina was probably the best bet. He'd never actually eaten here, no, but he understood it as the fancy place in town.

He somehow hadn't heard about the dinnerware.

"I'll admit, I didn't mean this to be dinner and a show," he said after they'd been seated and he saw a plate pirouette.

[OOC: Bruce is here for the girl with the hair. Fina is open for all of your other Fina needs, though!]
