Helen was perhaps a bit pensive in the afternoon. She'd just taken her last final here and that meant that everything coming up was just a bit more real. And a bit scary.

Her last exam -- her last class -- over for the term, it was a thoughtful Cally who perched on the stool behind the counter today, sketching something that looked like it might turn into a self-portrait. It wasn't, but it could serve as one in an emergency, and was fairly clear-eyed in its treatment of her less flattering features. It's hard to have illusions about your appearance when you have an identical twin.

Things seemed surprisingly, perhaps even suspiciously, quiet in the shop and on the island today. Once Tara had unpacked a handful of fresh herbs and rearranged the crystal display, there wasn't a lot to do, so she settled in behind the counter with a novel and relaxed. Her thoughts tended toward daydreaming about the summer to come.

Emma was finished with all her finals, Fandom courses and Danger Shop tutorials alike, and was celebrating in her own, time-honored fashion.

With coffee.

She'd turned in her acceptance of ESU's offer, hopefully aced Kerrigan's class, and had a fabulous prom. She was on top of the world, and felt like nothing could get her down.

Unfortunately, the world had other plans.

Chrono was trying to ignore any comments Tiny decided to make about how he'd made it in again this week, mostly with sighs and faint wonderings on how next time he said anything, he'd just get his horns back out and mess with time to ensure that he was never late.

Of course, that went against everything he believed about the life he was trying to live right now, so he supposed it would just be cleaning glasses behind the bar again. Cleaning hadn't exactly been how he wanted to spend the life he was trying to live right now, either, but it was a lot more productive than screwing around with the space-time continuum for funsies...

Perhaps it was because of the end of the semester, or just one of those days, but Sov wasn't feeling particularly creative today. Instead of keeping busy with some kind of tinkering they just sat behind the counter of the shop, lost in thought and staring into the air.
