Well, the island had moved again, and again, Jim had no idea where they were supposed to be, except that the beaches looked amazing, and he was looking forward to running around the place and exploring just as soon as his shift let out. Yep. In about a million hours, he'd be able to clock out and familiarize himself with the new surroundings. The really, really exciting new surroundings...

He was going to be stuck here at work for forever.

At least he had things to tinker with, he supposed. A few errant parts from a handful of spiders that he'd smashed and then dismantled yesterday were keeping him somewhat occupied, and that was better than nothing.

Anybody in the market for a clockwork spider-legged waffle iron?

No more Wild West for Fandom, Dolf supposed. He didn't exactly mind very much - he'd never been that interested in cowboys (he preferred knights) and the spiders hadn't really made the situation any better.

Still, it was a bit warm here (again) and so far, Dolf had been unable to discern which old city they were at. He certainly didn't recognise any landmarks from his history books, no matter how much he tried. Which was often: today, he was probably spending more time right outside the shop, staring up at the city's skyline, than he did inside behind the counter.

Which was only partly about avoiding the panda.

... Mostly.

... Okay, he was avoiding the panda. Hush.

Isabela was in a fine mood today. She'd spent most of her day at Fandom's latest destination. There was the scent of sea in the air again and she'd watched the ships pulling in and out of the port. Some of them had been galleys and she couldn't help but ponder what it'd be like to own one. Watching all those fine rowers pull at the oars. Such a fine view. Add the nice amount of gold she'd made leaping over bulls and she could grow to like this Atlantis.

Maybe tomorrow she'd find her entertainment there for the evening. For now, she sad as usual behind the bar. A glass of fine wine beside her as she scribbled away at some crumpled up pages. There was a good chance it was a story of a beautiful pirate queen and her faithful rowers. Ahem.

Jack was at work. He was mopping floors with gusto. He was wiping tables with gusto. He was delivering meals with gusto. There was a whole lot of gusto going on. Was someone happy to see the last of the wild west and certain spiders? Yes. Yes someone was.

Exactly why, other than the obvious, was a story for another time.
