Fraser missed winter. He couldn't really think all that badly of a place as beautiful as the one the island had landed in but he missed snow and he missed feeling like Canada was just a few steps away. Fraser wasn't really built for warm weather.

He was sitting behind the desk, typing away on the computer while Dief prowled around the lobby, looking for something to do or eat. He was coming up short on both ends.

Jack was practically bouncing around the room, so excited was he to start this final class. "We're treasure hunting!" he crowed. "Grab your shovels, your maps, your poison antidotes--" don't ask, "--and your sacks for hauling treasure! Last person to the treasure chest walks the plank!"

He was probably kidding, but there wouldn't be a chance to ask as he raced out the door, cackling to himself.

No matter what he said to anyone, Jack was still a bit unsettled by the Oracle. Which was why, in between bouts of research on his project for Ms. Cabot, he was reading everything he could get his hands on about wolves and wolf attacks.

He'd pretty well decided to stay out of Alaska, Afghanistan, and the more remote bits of Russia, just in case.

The law office was open, and the legal assistant had more gory details in his head than were good for him.

There didn't seem to be a whole lot of letters to sort today, so Junior Postman Butters was entertaining himself in different ways.

"Why, hello, there, Mr. George Washington stamp," said an Edgar Allen Poe stamp, placed on an envelop with a body drawn on and colored in with crayons, to the George Washington stamp made up just the same way. "I'm looking for Emily Dickinson stamp. Have you seen her?"

"Well, I don't know, Mr. Allen Poe stamp," George Washington stamp responded in a thoughtful tone. "Knowing her, though, she's probably out living it up with those Bronte sisters stamps. Authoresses! Questionable tramps, the whole lot of them. Let's go over to the tavern and have a couple of drinks. I'm meeting Mr. Andrew Jackson stamp and Mr. William H. Taft stamp there, and I hear tell of Mr. Elvis Presley stamp will be there, too!"

"Oh, boy!" said Mr. Edgar Allen Poe stamp. "Count me in, let's go!"

It was almost guaranteed that Butters would never, ever be bored at work, that was for sure.

The Post Office is open!

Alex was back at work today, sorting bullets for something to do in between bouts of sitting at the counter waiting for someone to come in and try to buy something or whatever.

Wellspring Arms? Open.

Chuck parked himself behind the bar when he came into work and poured himself a beer. The zombies were playing country music, which was slightly annoying, but Chuck didn't feel like arguing with it. Better than the crap the old timey people off island were playing.

When going through a box of old things in the shop, Sov found some kind of toy instrument with black and white keys. The sound wasn't exactly pleasant, and some keys didn't work at all, but they amused themselves by making up tunes and finding words for them.

[open shop!]
