William's shift today was spent, oddly enough, not immersed in a project, but still reading the Curse of the Lost Pharoahs book from the library. What? It was a most fascinating tale!

[ooc: epic, epic SP is the name of the game today.]

Quinn got to work in a good mood today. She'd had fun at the Rock Band party, and she was halfway done with classes for the week.

Gunther was yelling something about how the oats in the kitchen kept falling into his salads. She decided to ignore him and turn on the radio instead.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials: Texas Pork Ribs
Frozen Chocolate Mousse Pie

[OOC: Open hotel, OCD-free!]

Today, Lion-o didn't wander for very long in the walk-in fridge before he grabbed a case of what he thought were tomatoes. They turned out to be something more exotic, but that didn't bother him. He liked seeing more of the unusual produce available on this planet.

Today's Specials
Prosciutto with Persimmon, Pomegranate and Arugula
Braised Pork with Fuyu Persimmon
Steamed Persimmon Pudding with Cinnamon Creme Anglaise

Today, the sounds of U2 could be heard at Groovy Tunes. Lindsay had seen a few pictures online of the giant claw stage thing that was part of their current tour. That was pretty much the only inspiration for today's music choice.

It was Emma's first ever shift at Dite's as an employee instead of a customer or general social butterfly. And so, she would be a good employee for the last few weeks she'd be in Fandom, and start going over the inventory lists to see what was what.

This was going to be a lovely arrangement.

There were no ponies or other four legged animals in the bar tonight. Everyone had two legs (well, save for when the zombies started losing limbs) and two arms and the only mane in the bar was Nathan's luxurious head of hair so everything was good.

Luckily for Tino, Nathan hadn't really paid attention to the whole horse thing so he left Tino alone about the fact that he'd been a fucking horse for two days. Lucky Tino. Instead, Nathan was on a mission tonight. He was on a mission to get himself nice and drunk so he could stumble home and maybe pass out. He hadn't had a good night of drunken debauchery in awhile.

So, Nathan was drinking and Tino was taping up the zombies.

Words could not express how intensely relieved Alexander was to come into the shop today and find absolutely no statues, feline or otherwise, waiting for him at the counter. This meant that the only one that would bother him would be the one he'd been carrying around, which sitting on the counter, looking much like the frozen stalking cat it had meant to resemble.

This lack of cat statues put him in a wonderful mood and gave him the inspiration to work on an old chair that could use a little bit of a sprucing up to keep him busy between customers.

Charlie didn't know what to make of the whole 'pony epidemic' that had occurred on the island this weekend. He was pretty sure it was all just a bad trip, and was determined to remain convinced thus. Therefor, whenever Ralph brought along a folder with any reports between the dates of July 10th and July 11th, he quickly recirculated it so that it come back around to Ralph's desk.

Which then had Ralph recirculating it back to Charlie.

After this happened with the same report about ten times, Charlie filled up his coffee mug again and shook his head at Ralph with a sigh. "We gotta hire more help around here."

The Trooper Station is open!

Post Office, Wednesday

Another Wednesday, another shift at the Post Office. Yep. Rude was thrilled.

One of the unclaimed packages stored in the back erupted outward in a shower of tiny steam-powered robotic half-spider half-pony hybrids. They scattered all across the post office, hiding in nooks and crannies, chewing on power cables, and building copies of themselves. It was probably going to take all day to get rid of them, even with all of the strange postal workers helping.

So, all in all, just another uninteresting day, really.

It was Wednesday, and that meant it was Hank's day at T&C. Sure, he'd been dead in a coma for the past few months, but it seemed like everything had continued running smoothly while he was gone.

Apu glared at him and threw up his hands when he saw Hank, but he usually did that anyway. Bob the SquishyBot rolled her eyes and blasted Hank in the face with not-yet-frozen Squishy mix, but that wasn't all that out of the ordinary, either. Turtle the turtle and Jane the canary completely ignored his existence, but that was okay, because after feeding them, Hank ignored them right back. The only one glad to see him was the panda in the cheese aisle, who didn't even technically belong in the store. They had an understanding, though -- Hank made sure to buy the right brand of mozzarella, and the panda didn't beat the snot out of him. It made for a healthy relationship.

Hank also set up his little HankCo. display -- a sign and business cards -- on the counter. HankCo., you see, was his independently owned and operated business that provided services (notary public, private investigator, puppet repair, etc.) above and beyond the normal Turtle & Canary experience. Just like T&C stocked just about any item (except for duct tape) that anyone could want, HankCo. was proud to provide just about any service. So long as you didn't mind it being Hank that did it, of course.

Jessica was elated not to be a pony anymore, and she'd celebrated by glamoring a regency lady she'd run into on the way to the Devil's Nest and having a few sips of her blood, just enough to take the edge off her cravings. "You go find someplace to sit down for awhile," she said when she was done. "And drink lots of water. And don't lift anything heavy for awhile, OK?"

See, she was a responsible vampire. Sort of.
