Okay, SO. Kenzi had had a plan. It was not going to be scrapped just because of some cold. And a freaking glacier-like landscape across the Causeway. She was Canadian. She could do this! She just wasn't going to be in the park forever, doing this. Brrr.

What she was doing involved laying out many Dixie cups of hot tea, red sake, rum, and vodka at one of the picnic tables; and many similar Dixie cups of peanuts, almonds, cashews and mixed nuts. And lots of little folded up paper hats. Maybe she'd gone a little overboard, but once she got started, she started having too much fun. Also, the sake helped.

Yes, she was throwing an impromptu tea-and-sake party for the squirrels. Always important to make friends, especially with your local Big Brother outpost, right?

Right! She figured they'd hear about it and show up if they felt like it.

[ooc: Open to all! Squirrels have been invited. *bows to their Fearless Drunken Leader* But you're all welcome to wander by and grab some refreshments. If you can get them away from the squirrels.]

Vincent was a bit surprised by just how much more "rolling with it" he had to do in Fandom than in Eureka. He would have sworn up and down that Eureka was the weirdest place to live and work, day to day, but Fandom was definitely beating it out.

And now it was cold and snowing. Though, hey, it wasn't snowing inside, so that was always a bonus.

Today's Specials
Traditional Irish Stew
Lingonberry, brie, and pistachio pizza
Bavarian hot cocoa

Luke's was open. If you ask nicely, Vincent might even break out the Pfeffernüsse.

Butters didn't at all mind the drop in temperature. In fact, he was feeling pretty darn happy about it, what with it being more like what he was used to. Still, he knew not everyone would be as comfortable with the cold, so he figured it was a good time to bring out some broken heaters and try to fix them.

"Ow!"

Some of them might not have been broken, but that didn't stop Butters from tinkering with them.

"Youch!"

He had to pause his work to shake out his slightly singed hand.

"Boy, at least we know they work!"

Fixer Uppers is open!

Karla wasn't working a full shift today, but her portal was scheduled for a few hours from now and she'd already finished packing. Rather than mope around her room (or play in the snow, which she'd been tempted to do), Karla'd decided to come into the store for a bit and make sure everything would be all right in her absence.

Not that she really had to worry; Emma was working here now and she was pretty sure Raven would be teleporting back for most of her shifts, but 'Dite had left them to manage the store and Karla wasn't going to flit off for Darkness-knew-how-long without making sure the store was in good shape.

And if part of that process involved going outside to make snowmen up the walk, well...it might attract more customers or something. Yeah. Something like that.

On the way into work today, Momoko had been stopped by several of the npc staff from El Burrito Loco. After much confusion on her part, Momoko finally made out that she was supposed to care that Japanese women got a cup. And apparently she'd won forty dollars because of it.

Pressing the money into her hands with cheery expressions (except one, who mumbled about 'yamada's pen'*???) the men waved and strolled away. Momoko continued on her way through the snow and opened the office, taking a few minutes to pull up the internet and see...

Ah!

Well, Momoko may not care about sports, but she did have a BFF back home who would be very excited to hear the latest news about this Japan's soccer.

One email full of newsclippings later and Cabot and Associates is... ... [send] open!

[had to, sorry. Cabot and Associates is open!]

Alex was armed with a giant cup of coffee, when she opened the shop. That was one way to fend off the cold. As she set up the displays, she contemplated making a small fire near her for warmth.

... maybe later. For now, she'd continue with the displays.

The Magic Box is open.

The cold didn't bother Angelica very much; she had her own built in furnace, and the ice melted beneath her feet as she walked to the Gig from the dorms. The horses, on the other hand, were less than pleased by the sudden plunge in temperature.

Memories of another barn were never far from her mind, so Angelica didn't try to warm up the stables from the inside, but she did melt the snow in the corral enough to take each horse out for a ride to get some exercise get their blood going.

The Gig was open for business should anyone else like a ride.

"Why is it so cold?" Jack demanded as he stomped snow off of his boots and shivered his way over to the bar. "I'm a pirate from the Caribbean. I don't like snow. Make it go away."

Tiny rolled his eyes and handed Jack an ice bucket.

Jack shrugged. "Well, when life hands you ice, make frozen margaritas. Old pirate saying."
