Someone on the hotel staff had cracked and started playing Christmas carols over the hotel sound system. Quinn hated to admit it, but she kind of appreciated the festive touch. She'd have to talk to the work crew and see if they'd put up a Christmas tree to go with the theme.

Alex looked far more frayed than her usual today; her hair was in a careless ponytail, and her eyes looked like sleep was a distant memory. But the filings Liz had needed were done, and possibly even in time to do some good. Now she just had to fake her way through class and she could go home and climb into bed for a few days.

"I don't have anything prepared," she admitted, without bothering with a pretense. "If you'd like to have a discussion about amendments, or anything else, we can absolutely do that. Otherwise, I brought a documentary about free speech and the first amendment that I thought might make for interesting viewing. I apologize, and I assure you that next week I'll be more competent."

(OCD is coming if LJ stops sucking. So that's a pretty big "if," right there.)

Nathan was definitely at work tonight but he was concentrating on his drinking. It'd been a long fucking week, he was cold and there were many, many liquors he hadn't yet tried. He was gonna fix that tonight.

Tino had the number for the rescue squad on speed dial. He figured a stomach pumping was in the future for dear ol' Nathan.

Lindsay was used to cold winters being from Michigan. She was not used to cold summers, though. It was strange getting bundled up for the walk to work. She did, at least, appreciate that the store was heated.

She wasn't in any particular music mood, so she went with a mix of classic rock.

The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

Jessica had a tiara on. Over the weekend, since she was sick of the snow, she'd made a trip back to her Bon Temps. She hadn't been there since she'd run away after accidentally killing that trucker (and she really did wonder what happened to the body, but she wasn't going to ask if no one mentioned it), and things were very different. Sookie had been missing for a few months, which had her pretty worried, and Bill was King of Louisiana now. Which kind of made her Princess of Louisiana, right?

Hence the tiara. She was royalty.

Kate was pretty much wearing a permascowl at work today. The week hadn't been great for her, and now? Now she'd had the most ridiculous trouble in getting to work. So, her mood wasn't the greatest.

But at least she'd still shown up. That was something, right? And she was trying to soothe herself by rearranging the concessions stand. The M&M's could be on the left side from now on.
