Bod was still feeling rather moody and down when he wandered into work today. The staff could tell and kept the conversation to a minimum which Bod appreciated. He wanted to be friendly but he also hadn't been able to hold normal conversations all week. Instead, he prepped the diner for opening silently before pulling a well worn book out of his apron and sitting down to read while he waited for customers to trickle in.

It was a lazy day for Hope. Okay, so every day was a lazy day, but today especially. This would explain her rather meandering cleaning of the store as she wandered with a cup of coffee in one hand.

But hey, at least she was working, that was her theory.

Finally, though, she settled down behind the counter with her coffee and sat.

Today's Squishy flavors: Coffee, Red, Happy.

Magic Box, Friday, 9/16

All was normal in the magic shop today, and that was a relief; Tara took some time just to tour the store and make sure nothing was missing or locked up for her protection.

Once that was done, she settled in to unbox a new shipment of spellbooks. She leafed through them as she went. Half of them looked like balderdash to her, but there were a couple minor effects she might be eager to try.

She also put a sign in the window:

Since someone had yet to fess up to stealing his shoes over the weekend, Toby still did not have his own back. He did, however, have an awesome pair of runners on loan from Petra, complete with purple trim. Anyone who mocked him for that would find themselves in for a fight.

Goodvalor's was open! ...Although Toby was planning on ducking out a little early to check out the club fair.

The store was open. The 'Help Wanted' sign was back in the window. And Seifer was reading self-help books.

The Park, Friday Evening, iCarly Broadcast!

Even though the seasons were changing, Freddie set up the iCarly equipment in the park so they could record their parts of the weekly iCarly webcast. Mostly so he would have multiple exit strategies in case Sam tried to kill him.

"Hey, you never replied to my e-mail," Carly said via Freddie's laptop video feed from Seattle.

"There was nothing to say..." Freddie said, evasively.

"Well how about I refuse to do the show until you talk about it?" Carly tried to argue.

"Yeah, like you'd really do that?" Freddie said, skeptically.

There was a moment of awkward pause. "...oh fine," Carly caved. "But I will figure out a way to get one of you to talk about this!"

Freddie let out a quiet whimper and finished the tech set-up.

Three Minute Dates - Caritas - Saturday night

A sign was posted at the front door:

Three Minute Dates at Caritas

That's right. It was time for Three Minute Dates once again. Of course, this time it was being pushed back a couple hours because GOB just posted bail in Lexington Park for solicitation last night so it could better help sunlight-adverse residents of Fandom find true love as well. Anyone who came to the bar at the normal time were free to keep drinking to help them loosen up for the dates until just before 8:00...

The lights went dark. And then, The Final Countdown began, with a spot-lit GOB striding out onto the stage and doing an illusion where he made Tino bring him a scotch. Look, he'd done like twenty of these things already. People weren't getting free magic from him anymore.

"Thank you, everyone, for coming out here on this historic night. We've reached a true milestone here, but more on that later," GOB said. It would be best to fear Round 5, where there would be a couple extra minutes for GOB to discuss the historic nature of the night. "This is, of course, Three Minute Dates. And I am, of course, a Matchmaker Named GOB." He waited for applause..... and then continued. "When I or somebody else, probably Tino, who knows? calls your name, find a table with the other person whose name was called and get to talking and see if you want to make babies within three minutes. Because after three minutes, you'll hear this sound."

The zombie drummer started doing a drum roll.

"And that's when it'll be time to move on to your next date. Got it? Good. Oh, and sorry about the surplus of adult guys. Apparently single chicks can't stand being in a town without me. Anyway, let's get started...."

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish a thread or two on Sunday, that's fine.
