Today, the Fraternity was given instructions to meet at Fast Eddie's, and to bring their bowling shoes, if they just so happened to own their own. If not, no worries. Your esteemed leaders had not only rented the hall, but they'd also paid for rental of those scummy, funny-looking ones that they had available for the general public.

Gross.

“Hey, guys," Warren greeted, already wearing his own pair (in blue and white, and looking fairly dapper in them, thank you). "We're working up to seeing what we can do with the things that you guys said you'd do as a group last week, but in the meantime, we're going to try to keep our meetings interesting without... uh... doing anything too massive."

Like building satellites to get free movies that would have been cheaper to rent than the satellite was to build, Ben.

“Plus, who doesn’t like bowling?” Tony added. Yes, he also had his own pair of shoes. They were red and gold. Because someone wasn’t obvious or anything. “We’ll be looking into a joint venture with the Sorority and Pride, so if anyone has any ideas for them, just let us know.”

"And if you don't, enjoy the bowling, keep the pizza away from the lanes," because it was mandatory for these things, thanks, and Warren wasn't about to have a meeting without it, "and have a good time, guys."

Ender's Parents Weekend was starting to look pretty packed, with three guests coming. It was going to take a lot of logistics to make this work out smoothly - especially with his Peter coming - but he was fairly sure he could pull it off.

That left him some time to work on the plans he wanted to address with Alai. He spent a good chunk of the day poking through star charts from Ben's universe, making notes about the politics and cultures involved, and charting the position of the various military forces involved.

None of it was work that Ben needed to be involved in - yet - so around the lunch hour he cleaned up and grabbed a broom to sweep the strawberries off the floor.

Sigh, Stark Industries.

"So, what do you think of it, boss?" The NPC short order cook who'd come packaged with the Luke's side of the Cafe Diem/Luke's Diner merger stood back, watching Vincent's face with hopeful apprehension.

Vincent rubbed his chin. He tilted his head to one side, then the other. He leaned in and took a mighty whiff, then a nibbling taste. His expression gave away nothing other than neutral contemplation.

"Well," he said. "It's definitely interesting. I'm just not sure the world is ready for calabash and pumpkin spice flavored tofu meatloaf cupcakes."

The short order cook pouted.

"...Are you messing with me?" Jake asked of the delivery guy. As per usual, the guy just shrugged, leaving Jake with a crate full of rocks.

"I don't even know why I bother opening this crap anymore," Jake muttered to himself. Possibly because he held out hope that one day, the bar would get a delivery on a day he worked that actually consisted of booze.

Yeah, don't hold your breath, Jake.

Jack actually had to be on time for his shifts now that the sun was setting at a more reasonable time.

Stupid sun. He'd liked that half-hour of leeway he'd had before Eric had woken up.

Jack was behind the bar learning how to toss bottles of booze like that Tom Cruise movie.

Tiny was hiding.

The Devil's Nest was open!

Angelica had spent all weekend hiding in her room (and under the covers) (except when she had to use the bathroom and hadn't that been a flail-worthy experience). When Monday morning came she was relieved to find her girl parts back. And at least she hadn't been the only one who changed.

So Monday afternoon found her at the Gig, exercising the horses and happy to be herself and hoping it would stay that way for longer than two weeks this time.
