Hermione generally didn't spend her weeks just waiting to get to Friday. As someone who'd loved school and now liked her work, unless things were going really badly, she didn't see a reason to rush through the fun stuff. She was definitely looking forward to the weekend, though, and was trying to be very sure that it didn't affect her work. She wouldn't want anyone to think she was a slacker, after all.

Which meant there were twice as many files on Hermione's desk as there usually were. She was under there somewhere. Really.

Cassidy was a little bit over-excited. She had a job and at a book store!

She wandered around the store for a few moments to try to get the basic feel of the place again and then she went behind the counter. The cash register looked like it was going to be very interesting to get used to, but it was all part of the adventure.

Book Haven was open.

Mary wasn't entirely sure what to make of the invoice that was delivered to the front desk this morning. It was for 20 steel beams that were on back order due to high demand. However, the company was willing to substitute 20 logs for the steel beams.

"But I don't want logs or steel beams," Mary grumbled. She had a feeling she should check on what Gunther ordered while she was unavailable.

Raven had of course watched Rumor Gal's season premiere the night before, and today it definitely required a second viewing. So after opening up the store for the afternoon, she sat behind the counter and started to stream the episode from the network's website.

The ending didn't change, and she frowned at the screen. "I do not like where this is going," she said to herself as she watched the promo for next week again and tried not to flail in distress. "Charlie, this concerns me!"

Tim Gunn would be showing up to claim gimmick infringement shortly.
