It was shaping up to be a quiet day at MHA. Dief had worn himself out with a long run earlier so he was curled up in one of the lobby chairs, sleeping soundly. Fraser was behind the desk, quietly working on some paperwork that needed to be completely before the end of the month. At times, he almost wanted to join Dief in a nap but he knew these had to be completed so the apartment could continue to run and new equipment could continue to arrive.

Still, a nap sounded so good.

Alex was behind the counter on Thursday, but his mind was largely distracted with how to explain to his father that yes, he worked (Dad would be confused) at a weapons shop (Dad would be so proud) but they didn't actually sell the weapons (Dad would probably assume he was pulling some kind of joke). But you could meditate! (Dad might disown him.)

...yeah. Maybe he would get extra credit for Cable being the boss?

Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center? Open.

Sov opened the shop, and after some tidying up they decided to have a lazy day and do nothing. Unless someone showed up of course! Then they would be happy to help.

So they sat down behind the counter and stared out in front of them. This quickly turned boring. A Handdara Indweller would scold them (or be amused, which amounted to the same thing) for this. Never mind, they weren't here.

Sov picked up a radio and tried to find as many different channels as possible. Some played really odd music.

Kenzi had gotten the zombies to play R.I.P. tonight and was jamming out and experimenting with the booze again. Also, there were Jell-O cubes full of alcohol to be slurped off and on, or offered to anyone wandering in.

Hercules was simply strolling the park when something very... peculiar happened.

A voice cried out, though he could tell it was not coming from the park.

"Hercules," said the voice. "Unconquered Hercules! God of heroes! Hear our prayers! The worshipers of Ares walk the land! We need your strength, your invulnerability, more than ever! A great fear is coming! And they will use it to usher in a new dark age!"

The voice was in his head. Which was rather a new thing for mortal Hercules. And so he stumbled, and he fell against a park bench to get his bearings.

He had worshipers of his own, and they were asking for his help. But... where were they?

[ooc: Open post, if you want to talk to a startled Herc in the park!]
