As usual the staff for the convention has put out a lovely buffet for their royal guests. Once everyone has had their fill the convention area will once again be set up for the final presentation which will then be followed by a farewell brunch.

The sign outside still says that Kraken's are not allowed. Clearly it's been doing a magnificent job this weekend.

With Gryph tearing through all of Zayne's financial statements last weekend to make sure he was keeping the Earth branch of Cargryph Capital Management profitable, Zayne didn't really have a chance to come in last weekend. When he made it in today, he asked his droids, "Miss me last week?"

Gigi answered by giving a mechanical sigh and pointing to the specials.

"That's not even really a meal," Zayne noted. Also it was calling for an overthrow of management, but that wasn't as big a deal. "I'll talk it over with the droids in back. Thanks for the warning."

Dolf would be lying if he said he couldn't use something of a vacation. Away from the school, and away from Nana, who was going to spend some time at a pet hotel for the week. Not only that, but the extra work meant that he could go on this trip without feeling in the least bit guilty, so it was a win-win as far as he was concerned.

Which still left Sunday's Turtle and Canary shift.

He trudged in loyally as always, dog on his heels and hands in his pockets. Well, one hand. The other hand was busy paging through websites about the project on his phone while he looked thoughtful.

Mystery Sign Theater 3000, Sunday

There was a holiday week coming up - traditionally not the busiest time on the island, and it had been quiet for Mitchell anyway. As a result, he'd made a quick detour past Wales to check in on Nina and George, just to... have something to do. It hadn't quite helped his feeling generally listless, though.

Now he was back, and picking films again. Some of the new ones just coming in at the box office were more interesting than they appeared, and so he'd scheduled one.

Still, his heart wasn't quite in it. He spent most of his day (and the night) slumming around the manager's office, doing very little.
