Most of the town was, well... out of town.

So Jake was taking this opportunity to make sure the Troopers were in shape by having them run laps around town.

"Where in the instructions did I say 'and it's okay if you want to stop by the store to get a Squishy'?" Jake demanded. "You!" Whatever his name was. Jake didn't know any of them except Ralph. He was mentally coining this one 'Desmond' though. No reason. "Go again. And no side trips."

With most people out of town for spring break, Mary figured that it would be quiet enough to read a book at the front desk. And for the most part, it was an ordinary Tuesday. Then, out of nowhere, a strand of purple beads came flying at her.

Mary put her book down, but couldn't see anyone who could have thrown them. She figured that Gunther had probably gotten away before she could yell at him. She picked up her book again, but had only read about 3 paragraphs before a second strand of beads hit her. So the book went back into her bag and Mary spent the rest of her shift keeping an eye out for Gunther anyone trying to throw stuff at her.

After last week, Kitty was glad for a break from all the people. Personal space and generally not wanting to jump everyone made for a much better mood, she was finding. She was a little surprised to see that Tino hadn't put anything out for the specials, though. "Only in it for the dirty-named ones, huh?" she asked, and he didn't dispute it.
