Besides the fact that it was a new month, Bod hadn't done much differently. He'd spent all of break with Kate and was still adjusting to being back and not getting a chance to sleep with her whenever he wanted. She had him completely wrapped around her finger and he kind of liked it that way.

For now, he was busying himself with wiping down counters and getting everything set to open so the diner would be running smoothly at the appointed time. After his shift, he thought maybe he'd go to the mainland and get a book. It'd been awhile since he'd done that.

After class and a break to grab a snack and bother Peter at the dorms, Ben was in his normal spot behind the counter, scanning the news from home and writing an email to Dink about his trip to Rio.

He was deciding against sending pictures of the Gay Ball.

Stark Industries was open if you needed technical assistance! Or a widget. They had lots of those.

Tonight the new DJ had begun the evening playing Justin Bieber, had taken one look at Eric's face and had raced for the causeway, screaming his head off.

Eric shrugged. The fangs weren't that scary.

The bar was open, and the music was Tiny's choice.

There was no Justin Bieber because Tiny wasn't stupid.

Hope was bored, which explained why everything in the store had been cleaned or straightened to within an inch of its life, so to speak. Now, though, she was sitting behind the counter with a magazine and attempting to do the crossword puzzle she'd found in it. Entertainment-themed, but still. Something to do was something to do.

Kenzi now felt she had to do a Greek theme, having met her employer. So the mannequins were now wearing togas, lounging around in Roman party style. With bottles of champagne bubble bath in every hand.

The Park, By the Duck Pond, Late Friday Night

It could be said that Jonothon was a creature of impulse. He did, after all, have a temper on him. And a sense of get-up-and-go that had put him into some of the worst situations he'd been in, some of the worst he was ever likely to be in.

And sometimes, his impulses just told him that he wanted to feed the ducks.

Not that there were any ducks awake at this time of night. There was a chill in the air and the stars were out, though, and Jono was okay with contenting himself to sit on the bench and watch the clouds drift over the moon, instead. He'd probably be there a while. It wasn't like he was any good at actually sleeping at nights, after all.
