So, Sam's last job had involved grease and meat that he never ate. This job involved...skateboards and scooters and things that he did know about. It was already better than Plumpy's even if it lacked a Ramon and a Frank and a Brooke.

But, Sam could get over that. Right now, he was wandering around the store, getting acclimated and tallying up things he already wanted to buy. Maybe it was dangerous to get a job like this when you had money to burn.

Sam held himself back though and set himself up behind the counter, reading one of the available extreme sports magazines while he manned the shop.

Given that it was the first week of classes and the new kids were settling in - and it sounded like there were two sex-ed-ish classes this semester - Emma was going to use her position for Great Justice.

Another day, another dollar, or so the phrase went. That was Hayley's attitude as she flitted about her duties as head waitress at Cafe Luke's that day. She didn't know what to think about all the graduation events and new semester and everything. She mainly planned on not thinking about it at all.

It had been a while since Mary had checked Casino Death Watch. She was disappointed to see that her favorite place from her pre-Montecito days had not only closed but had been imploded. Change was constant in Vegas, but Mary doubted that she'd even recognize The Strip if she went back.

Gunther was also mourning in his own way -- by setting up a game of root beer pong in the ballroom.

Anna had come to work today fully prepared to explain to a lot of new people that yes, she did have to stamp them, because it was the other bar that didn't card. But they could totally still go there! Of course, if they didn't know about that yet, she'd let them go in and buy a Coke. Her willingness to help her fellow students get their drink on only extended so far.
