Stark Repairs, Tuesday, 6/05

The first thing Victor noticed in the shop this morning was that the floor had a bluish tinge and a vague scent of fruit to it.

Victor decided he was probably better off not knowing how that had happened and went back to texting with Nico about her attempts to redecorate the new Malibu hostel, courtesy Chase's family. Between the magical remodeling and the Malibu of it, it was almost enough to make him wish he was home to see it.

Eventually, she signed off to sleep and he started trying to fix a broken iPod. Not as good as Malibu, but not a bad thing to be doing.

The Arms Hotel Lobby, Tuesday

Mary knew that it was going to be one of those days when she got down to the lobby and found that the kitchen staff had been locked out of the kitchen. Gunther had the only set keys, but no one could figure out where he was. So it was one of those rare days when the specials board remained blank and room service orders were being called into other Fandom restaurants.

Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center, Tuesday

Returning to work for the first time in weeks, Bruce made sure that everything in shop was in order and that the firing range was in running condition for anyone who wished to use it.

He then retreated to the meditation area to continue his ongoing quest for mastering control over his heart rate and emotional core.

Given that nothing truly strange was occurring on the island today, he was grateful for the lack of distractions.

Of course anyone wishing to come into the store would have Bruce's immediate attention.

Turtle and Canary, Tuesday

Frank considered himself a pretty responsible employee most of the time. He made sure things were tidy and organized, he was friendly and polite to all the customers, he never messed up the register except that one time and he was really really sorry about it, and above all, he was professional at all times.

So if anyone spotted him reading a comic book instead of keeping an eye on the store during his shift today, it was totally a trick of the light.

Dite's Decadent Delights, Tuesday

The lovely part about being an employee - besides the discount - was that Emma could order things for the store that weren't yet available in her time, and not need to pay for them. Since they were for the store. Really.

Like this iPad. Because what better way to demo some of the videos the store could order for you? Or, in this case, answer the questions you were too shy to ask the nurses or your friendly Auntie Emma.

Dite's was open, the cock was out, and Emma had figured out how to make the iPad loop videos while she flipped through product catalogues and took notes.

Sam wasn't doing much of anything today. His hand was still bandaged and he didn't really feel like working on any skateboards so he was sitting behind the counter, paging through a magazine and trying to keep his mind off things that bothered him.

So far, so not good.

Atlas Gym, Tuesday

Clint's first week in Fandom had been all about getting set up in his and Natasha's place and learning his way around, which had involved a lot more weirdness than he'd expected, even after skimming SHIELD's files. This week, it was time to check out the gym they were expected to run. Overall, the place looked nicer than he'd imagined for a small island - until he opened the closet where the towels were kept and was nearly bowled over by the smell. Needless to say, he was sticking to the front desk, looking through what had been left behind for any kind of organizational system, and a number for some place to do laundry.

The Devil's Nest, Tuesday

Anna was fiddling with her phone at the door of the Devil's Nest this evening, trying to figure out how to get it to take better pictures. She'd been planning to get a real camera before a certain Brownie trashed her shoes, forcing a change in her plans. Sigh.

Inside the bar, the DJ was playing the best of the Captain and Tennille. As one did.

The Devil's Nest was open.

Three times. Three times Kitty had seen Tino head outside to try and look at Venus as it passed across the sun.

This was why she was now bringing him aspirin from the office. "Just try taking a picture next time," she said, wholly tired of hearing about spots in front of his eyes.
