Toby came in to the restaurant hoping for a nice, normal day.

And, well, it was normal in the sense that the droids were behaving oddly once again?

Today they were chasing Toby around, insisting he drink a cup of tea. When he finally relented and did so, the minute he finished they offered another. And another. And another.

Peeta came into work in his usual cheerful mood and it only improved when he saw the wait staff had baked him cupcakes for his birthday tomorrow. They weren't as good as the ones Peeta usually made, but the thought that went into it made him smile.

Loki should be doing something useful like, say, inventory. Or maybe just sweeping the shop. But instead of that, he was on his phone.

Participating in a flame war over the ability to engage in a homosexual relationship in a video game. He was playing both sides of the argument to see just how angry people became.

He made his own fun, it seemed.

Just because they were living off-island now didn't mean Cable was going to stop watching over Janice like a hawk. (It just meant that he had gotten around to occasionally trusting Wade with the job instead.)

So of course when he went into the store on Friday morning, she was right there with him. In fact, so was Tether, who had quickly gotten used to being clung to for dear life - at least until Jan actually saw the store and immediately ran up the stairs.

And refused to come down.

Cable sighed, and peered up the stairs one more time. There she was, sitting in front of the door looking stubborn. "Fine," he said. "Come downstairs when you want your lunch."

With that, he flipped the 'Open' sign and sat down behind the desk.

Chilly Boulder- Friday evening

Despite logic and reason dictating that no one but masochists should still be Cubs fans in this day and age, Kitty was. She just had faith that they would win it all one year and that it would be in her lifetime. And after today's game (they won!), she'd checked the standings... and finally had to admit to herself that year would definitely not be this year.

So there was a consolation banana split happening because it made her feel better, and if you stuck with them through a season, you deserved a banana split, okay? At one point she even lifted up her spoon full of ice cream and declared, "Next year!" to the girl behind the counter, who just looked at her funny.

Okay, no, it wouldn't be next year and she knew it but she was going to hold out for it just in case.

Eric was staring in horror at Tiny and the DJ as he finally processed what he was looking at.

"No," he finally managed. "Bjork is not Swedish."

Tiny in a swan dress. Eric would never be the same.
