She had said she would work there, had gotten the keys, the safety talk, the works. So when she showed up early that Monday, Alice was glad the place was as quiet as it had been when she had talked to Nathan. She needed that calm, wanted to be bored out of her mind for a few weeks and then...well, maybe by then she would have managed to sort some of the more pressing matters that she had been avoiding so far. Maybe.

But right there? Alice was just going to pick up a pamphlet on meditation, and wonder just how often did people leave the island to go to other worlds, or space. What? She did like the silence, or rather, had grown used to it.

At any rate, the Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center was open.

Once her morning class was over Yeul had found herself without anything in particular to do for the rest of the day. Which was not particularly unusual, especially as she generally preferred her days to be great expanses of time, but she'd felt like doing something today, even though she'd had little idea or preference about what, exactly, she was doing.

Her restlessness was how she wound up at the Perk, where she bought hot apple cider and a pumpkin scone. Yeul settled in by the windows, so she could watch people if that urge took her, and began trying to figure out how to tell Caius about her weekend trip to space.

At least she didn't have to worry about the beginning of the letter. That part was always the same.

The DJ was having another clever day today; "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," "Waterfalls," "Stormy Weather," and about four different songs that seemed to all be called "Hurricane."

Jack did his best to ignore it as he made plans for the night ahead. Between the storm and the full moon, he wondered if drinking a bottle of Nyquil and barring himself in Derek's basement until the weather passed was any kind of an option. It certainly didn't look to be fit weather for a wolf to be out in.

He also quickly checked the bar to make sure it was fully stocked. If anyone made the journey out just to drink and dance tonight, they deserved the best of what the club had to offer.

Caritas, Monday

When Jake walked in to Caritas, instead of the sounds of the zombie band warming up there was... silence.

"What," he said slowly, eyeing them suspiciously, "is going on with you fools?" It was then that he noticed that they all seemed to be wearing white face paint. And berets. And stripey shirts. "You have got to be kidding me," he groaned. "It's not even Halloween!"

Tino, by contrast, was sitting at the corner of the bar, a tub of white face paint by his side and looking decidedly green himself.

"...So, so glad I didn't come in early," Jake decided. Better Tino got drafted to zombie-makeup duty than he, after all.

Would you look at that? Jeremy was actually managing to take Stacey out on a date! Maybe it was just easier to achieve on Fandom than in Africa, or maybe Jeremy was just a little less likely to randomly wander off the island than he was to fail to travel to distant continents. Whatever the reason, he'd been successful in going to pick Stacey up (with three red roses for her, no less!) and whisking her to the theater where cinematic pleasures awaited them!

... Or at least successful horror movie franchises. Regardless, they still had one hurdle to pass before making it to the theater, and that was the concessions stand.

"Popcorn, soda, chocolate? Whatever you want, totally my treat."

Jeremy, stop trying to kill your date.

[ooc: Jerms is here for the giiirl, but post is open for all your pre-Halloween movie-going needs!]
