Victor learned the following things on his way to work:
1. Mobile snowmen shaking mistletoe in his face made him a lot jumpier than he would have expected.
2. When he got jumpy, he still was prone to zapping without thinking.
3. Electromagnetic bolts did not do much to snowmen besides melt them around the edges a little.
4. They still did not like being melted; it seemed to just make the mistletoe-shaking more aggressive.

That valuable life lesson complete, he huffed into the shop and took his place behind a workbench with a virus-ridden computer on it. Somebody really needed to quit trusting every movie torrent they saw.

He kept one wary eye on the door, just in case the snowmen made a reappearance.

Kitty was spending her shift trying to take inventory of the glassware they still had, so she could reorder more to replace what she'd broken last week. It was rare that Fandom weirdness made her cough up money to fix something she'd done, but when it did, it wasn't happy. That might have been why the snowman kept showing up to try and shove mistletoe at her across the bar.

"For the last time, there's only one person I'm kissing," she said, and jerked a thumb towards Tino. "Try him."

The snowman paused, then moved a couple steps down the bar to try with Tino instead. If only everything was that easy.

Mary had taken an unanticipated trip to Las Vegas to help Danny out of the latest mess that he'd gotten into. He might be president of operations at the Montecito, but some things never change.

But she had looked forward to returning to the peace and quiet of Fandom. The Montecito seemed a lot louder than she remembered. While the lobby of the Arms lacked noisy slot machines, it had something that she'd never seen in Las Vegas: a mistletoe-wielding snowman that seemed intent on getting a kiss. "Look, you really don't want to kiss me. My lips are so chapped from being out in the desert," she tried to reason with the snowman.

Well, there was a spider on the floor. Given that spiders were Max's third-biggest fear after public speaking and drag queens with no makeup on, he could currently be found sitting on the bar, shrilly directing Tiny to go after it with a broom.

About halfway through this ordeal, which was accentuated by the DJ playing eighties pop hits, Max's phone began to ring, which added yet another eighties pop hit to the mix. Normally Max would be delighted to sing along to this kind of musical disaster, but right now he was preoccupied with getting this spider out of his life and out of the bar.

When Tiny finally got it, Max demanded to see the spider's dead body to verify that it was, in fact, no longer among the living before he allowed his fellow bartender to go flush it down the toilet. As Tiny headed to do just that, with a muttered insult under his breath, Max yelped, "I heard that!" and resolved to give Tiny the cold shoulder for the rest of the night.
