It was finals week, which excited Jessica as a nerd. But she had her last final before coming into work, which was disappointing. Oh well, she'd find some way to deal with it. And that way? Putting together a small, inefficient engine that would pollute the air enough to wipe out any trace smell that proved she spent any time baking cookies last week.

[God willing, I will be home from North Carolina around dinner time. Assuming the zombie murder hotel doesn't live up to that name I gave it.]

The Perk, Wednesday Morning

No, Mike's new Christmas sweater wasn't pretty. But he was cool with that because you know what? At least it was keeping him warm, and he couldn't hate something that did that for him.

So even with an ugly sweater on, he looked to be in a good mood as he sat by a table at the Perk with a cup of coffee, a notebook, and a pen. The plan was to head to Things Reborn a little later, to scope out cheap things to possibly take apart and use as parts for the bookcase he'd promised to build for Allie. Which was what he was sketching in the notebook, yeah.

Yeah, he had good coffee and was doing what he liked best. No amount of ugly Christmas clothes could bring him down.

The song playing in the bar tonight wasn't nearly as annoying as other nights. No, today was apparently dedicated to different version of the song Baby It's Cold Outside.

So, for once, Derek wasn't actually pissed off at the world as he worked. Well, no more than usual.
