Dress rehearsal.

No two words could fill a director with quite so much dread as the words 'dress rehearsal.' Unless those words were 'opening night,' or possibly 'laryngitis outbreak.' Fortunately, Jono didn't have to deal with one of those for another few days, and the other... hopefully at all. He could dream, anyway. If this all went pear-shaped on him, he supposed he'd prefer if it were something he couldn't have possibly prepared for, coming to cock it all up.

"Show night is the day after tomorrow," he informed his cast, sounding only the slightest bit bewildered by that prospect. "You know your lines by now," the 'had better' was strongly implied, "and we have an entire room full of costumes. Put something on that fits, and let's have our bloody dress rehearsal."

Yes, it had come far enough down to the wire that he was letting people pick their own costumes. He was trusting them implicitly to not mess it up. In amongst the costume racks that included astronaut and chicken suits, just as readily as the proper period costumes that he was praying you all grabbed.

He'd probably run damage control if any dinosaurs or cowboys wound up in his show. But then, at this point, maybe he'd just be happy that his actors were wearing clothes. The set already looked as though a disco ball had puked into a bowl of fruit punch, so he'd take whatever small victories he could get.

At the shop today, Jessica had her stealth backup webshooter bracelet things out again, and she was fiddling with them. The goal today was to get the tracking devices she came up with a while ago to fit in them and be able to launch from them. It was very fiddly work, but it kept her interested between customers.

[OOC: Work slowness, of course.]

Kitty was not getting sick. And that's what she'd been resolutely telling herself since she woke up with a sore throat and sniffles this morning.

She showed up at the bar most days to get stuff done before the place opened in the evening, and she'd have skipped going in today if she wasn't still catching up on things after break. She decided working in the office felt too stifling like this, so she went to the back room with a bunch of paperwork, and at least she could turn on the TV for background noise. Which was how Kitty ended up totally ignoring the paperwork to be really onvested in Maury instead. In her defense, daytime TV was awful.

Caritas wasn't technically open, but if you stopped in you might get told to help yourself to whatever because ugh.

[Open, OCDless post though! Idk, I bitched about writers block and this is what happened.]

Today's game of 'let's make work fun for Jeremy' involved picking out some of the stuff that was meant for the less baseline humanoid body shapes, and trying to guess at what someone who it'd actually fit would look like.

Also, trying on stuff like tuxedos with three arms. Because why not, right?

Demon Marcus was open and Jeremy was around to help you! Or at least make you partake in guessing what extra limbs someone would have to have to wear some of the stuff on sale.

The bar was almost normal if you ignored the music choices tonight. Because the choice to play Nickelback on loop wasn't exactly the best one.

Because the DJ was either evil or deaf.

Derek's money was on evil. So, so evil. He was just going to angrily work on cleaning the bartop in the meantime.

According to his loose plan, Coulson's night involved the Perk, orange tea, a crossword puzzle, and some quiet.

According to the universe's plan, Coulson's night actually involved the Perk, orange tea, slapstick comedy, wet pants, a second cup of orange tea that at no point sailed through the air, a quick change in the restroom because he of course had emergency pants, a crossword puzzle while his tea-stained pants dried next to him, and the occasional reassurances to the barista that it was okay. There was a reason why he carried emergency pants, after all.

[OOC: It's been a long day. Open.]
