Well. There was glitter on the bar. And on some bottles. And now, there was glitter in April's hair.

"What the fuck, Tino."

Tino looked noncommittal. And a little scared.

"Didn't you clean up at the end of the night?"

Tino shrugged.

"I'm getting your tips tonight," April informed him. "Moron."

The zombie band was playing Western showdown music, and Tino was relegated to cleaning the bar all night.

It didn't get the glitter out of April's hair, though. It was possible that nothing would.

It was possible that now that Clint was teaching he wasn't being the best co-gym manager ever. So, he'd made a point to go in today and make sure everything was still working, which had led to helping with cleaning, which had led to an elongated workout, which had led to a shirtless and sweaty Clint going up against the punching bag. This was what nice weekend days were for, right?

Dani wasn't so excited about today's Belmont Stakes. The muddy track and the fact that there wasn't a Triple Crown on the line left her less enthusiastic than she was a few weeks ago. But she still made a call to her brother's bookie. A long-shot winner could really pay off nicely for her.

The Gig was open, and Dani was still on the phone with the bookie if anyone else was ready to place their bets.

Sometimes, in the middle of a weekend that some might argue is not a weekend at all due to the sheer amount of grueling work in need of attention, alcohol was necessary. Other times, there was too much work to even get around to drinking, and a simple lunch would suffice instead. Today was a sushi day -- not that Sam was ruling out stopping by a bar later on.

Without looking up from her omni-tool once except to hand the clerk her credit chit with an apologetic smile, Sam got herself some lunch, then sat herself at a table facing away from the window so that she could eat as she worked. It wasn't quite Citadel sushi, but it would do.

As it happened, one of April's summer classes at the community college was a photography class. And annoyingly enough, one of the assignments involved taking a picture of a sunrise.

It was like the teacher wanted all the students to die.

April was fairly sure that she had never woken up in time to actually see a sunrise before, though on a few occasions she had stayed out late enough at The Bulge to catch it from the other end. Today, though, she begrudgingly set her stupid alarm, woke up at stupid-thirty, also known as the buttcrack of dawn, trekked out to the beach, and flopped down on her stomach in the sand to take some pictures with her phone.

You know. If she didn't fall asleep first. Which was possible.

Fuck, she should have brought Red Bull.

[[pretend I'm European so the timing of this post makes sense. open beach if anyone actually feels like playing at this dumb hour, yeah.]]
