There was a bird in here, which was fine, but judging by the presents it was leaving, the bird hated April kind of a lot. That was less fine.

Or maybe it was just a really especially obnoxious bird. Hard to say.

April didn't like birds that much, anyway.

She made up a sign for the window clearly advertising the presence of an "awesome" bird here and hoped like hell someone would get it out of here as soon as possible.

Caritas, Wednesday

So Jake had come back from... being puppyfied... to find that his usual shift at Caritas had been given to someone else. Oops.

A few rounds of phone tag later, and everything was straightened out and he still had a job. Well, a job that wasn't being sheriff of a town that basically policed itself. A job where drinking while on duty was entirely acceptable.

Never mind that Tino was giving him some seriously disdainful side-eye for the number of shifts Jake had missed recently. Not all of those were exactly under his control!

Today Derek wasn't sure if the DJ was trying to make fun of his weekend or trying to come onto him. Either way it was terrible and Derek wanted no part of it.

But the music wasn't as bad as it could have been. So. There was that.

Although, looking over at Tiny's sniffling at the door, he was starting to think the Tiny/Tino thing might have taken an interesting turn...
