The radio in the shop was on and refused to be turned off no matter how much Alec fiddled with it, which meant that he was stuck listening to an agonizing, unending chain of pop songs, each one more nonsensical than the last.

Because of his low resistance for this sort of thing, his head started pounding by ten o'clock and it was probably not going to stop for the rest of the day.

Trooper Station | Friday

Since he was going to be on vacation next week, Stiles was taking the time to day to get a week's worth of talking done with Scott. You know, foreign country, mystical time travel, who knew if phone plans would translate?

Scott did not approve of this at all. They were kind of codependent, yes.

Dite's Decadent Delights, Friday

There was something a little... off... about Dite's when Sparkle came in for his shift today. Oh, it was full of decadent delights, certainly. It was just that they were a very different sort of decadent than the decadent that he was used to.

It kind of looked like he'd stepped into candyland or something when he entered the shop, and he had to go outside and look at the sign and the street address to be certain he was in the right shot. Even the giant metal rooster was painted up in peppermint colours, and the delights? Well. They were delightful. Just probably not the kind of delightful that you wanted to use that way. Unless you had some weird bubblegum kink that he didn't want to know about, ever.

Sparkle sighed and sat behind the counter, sucking on a lollipop. He wasn't going to think too hard about what had happened to all of the usual merchandise. A retail job was a retail job, and people could probably still buy condoms at the T&C if they needed them that badly.

He hated this stupid island.

Everything was normal in Turtle & Canary. Everything was just as it always had been. There was nothing different at all. Nothing.

Mike sighed and did a crossword puzzle while waiting for customers.

Half a dozen gremlins had taken over the lounge and where they were happily drinking Shirley Temples and demanding the DJ play vintage Madonna.

Allie had her sword out and had taken a seat at the bar as far from the gremlins as possible.

It was going to be a long night.

Caritas, Friday Evening

The zombie band wasn't playing today. This was because the bar's sound system was stuck playing nothing but early 20th century ragtime, and Mike couldn't find a way to turn it off. In fact, as far as he could tell, the sound system was off, and the music was still playing, as if from a bunch of unseen gramophones or something.

After a while, he gave up trying. He would've bet a few bucks on this being another Fandom thing, anyway, like the girl some weeks ago, and the awkward thing at the Perk a while back. And so, if he was right, the music would stop on its own eventually.

Until then, he'd clean some glasses and maybe whistle along with some of the songs.
