"We're not serving that," Eliot said, his arms crossed, as the cook held up a large dish of tuna casserole. "Or that. Or any of those."

The kitchen was absolutely full of tuna casserole.

"We could feed it to the polar bears," the busboy suggested.

"What polar bears?" asked Eliot.

"The ones in the freezer."

Eliot looked from the busboy to the freezer, then up at the ceiling. "There's something wrong with this island."

Seifer was working on putting together a display of miniature Terracotta Warriors and horses that had shown up today. Not that he had ordered them, but boxes just tended to show up, having been ordered by the last person running the place. Some of it was interesting, like the warriors, or the replica of The Garden of Earthly Delights. Either way, it gave him something to do, so he could ignore the rather hefty envelope sitting on the counter.

He was ignoring it for the moment, and really trying to resist the urge to plan out a battle with the Terracotta Warriors.


And there was still the sign in the window.

Ah, Fridays. After a hard day of decorating her office and shooting Nerf darts at her new co-workers when she was able to, it was Coffee Time. Or rather, mega mocha double-chocolate cinnamon frappuccino time.
