Sparkle hadn't had the first clue what to make of the weird gamut of emotions he'd run through over the course of the week, or even what the hell to do with the freaky discoloured rock that had been in his bed when he'd woken up this morning, but knowing this place, he was pretty positive that the two were related.

So really, now he just had to figure out how he felt about all that.

The rock, he was going to keep as a paperweight or something, mostly because he was too lazy to care enough to throw it in the trash or out the window.

The rest? He was going to steadfastly ignore the rest, and spend his shift at Demon Marcus poking through the various jewelry. If he was going to have to live with a hole in his lip, he might as well get something to put in it that hadn't been picked out while he was blissed out on space rocks and open to any suggestion under the sun.

This was what he got for befriending enablers, wasn't it?

Well, Jessica had a couple things on her mind today. The one she was going to focus on was this weird crystal thing that had been in her stomach recently and just fell out this morning. She was running every test she could on it, but at this point it really did just seem to be a boring old glass-like thing. No special properties to it whatsoever, which was proven when she broke it in half by accident. Oops.

Well, whatever, it was enough to keep her from obsessing over the idea that there was a Venom on the island. Because if she obsessed over that, it would drive her nuts.

The shop was open!

Atlas Gym, Sunday

Well, Flash figured his time around here was just about over. Not only did he somehow lose control of the powerful alien symbiote he was bonded to, but he attacked his boss's girlfriend, which was just great.

He already called Pym on the Lighthouse Station to let him know what happened and that it seemed to be some kind of weird magical event and not something to be too worried about from day to day. But Flash still had to go up there later to take a physical and let the Hanks poke around at the symbiote to make sure there wasn't any lasting effect. They also wanted to have Valkyie ask around about the crystal, which definitely wouldn't be awkward at all.

So for this shift, Flash was going to be spending some time with the yoga trainer to keep himself calm and balanced, and whenever he got back from the Lighthouse later or tomorrow or whenever, he was going to refocus his efforts to clear one of the bad influences out of his body.

The Beach, Sunday Afternoon

The weather was certainly beginning to look up - moreso than Edward was used to this time of year, but he wasn't about to let that stop him. Rather, he would let it guide his choices on these days when he had very little to do with himself-- he would go down to the beach and see if anyone else was interested in joining him there.

Which is to say, he was taking a dive in the water, from the highest point he could find on the surrounding rocks; and he was enjoying the refreshing splash of cold it offered him, even if it was still a bit chilly.

He swam a few laps until he got tired of that and got back to the beach, where he went looking for the second highest point on the surrounding rocks.
