Today had already been... interesting. That was a good word for it. Nikolai had woken up on his couch with some kind of tiny goat sleeping on his chest, wearing a pair of sunglasses, with no goddamn clue who he was, or where he was, or why the hell he had a goat in the first place. There were bills on the table, at least, and so he managed to figure out his name quickly enough, as well as the fact that he was apparently the sort of person to make long-distance phone calls to people all around the world. And the sort of person who apparently slept with his shades on.

The explanation he had for all of this so far was that he was probably some sort of eccentric with memory issues, who had a goat (the goat kicked him whenever he called her that within earshot) as some manner of assistance animal and who... somehow knew J-Lo personally. Movie star who suffered some kind of head injury? He had weights in this hotel apartment, but he sure as hell wasn't some kind of bodybuilder. And he had no real explanation for the leather duster and goggles setup in his closet, except that maybe he figured he was some kind of motorcycle cowboy.

He wouldn't have even made it downstairs for his hotel shift at all if it hadn't been for the fact that he was hungry, his fridge was pretty much bare, and he couldn't remember or even begin to guess at the passwords for his laptop and his phone. One of the cooks caught him before he could wander outside, goat (Maaah!) in tow, informed him that he was late, and then sat him down at the hotel desk.

1/2 off to anyone who woke up today not knowing their name!

"Well. That rules out the movie star thing."

"Maah."

Nikolai took off his shades to rub at his temple. He was getting a headache from this.

Somebody across the room froze, and then fainted dead away when he put his shades back on. But rubbing at his temple seemed to help with the headache, at least, and there was a list of emergency numbers at the front desk, so the situation was clearly well under control.

Sia's morning would have been a lot worse if it hadn't been for the large dog she'd found in the room where she woke up. He'd demanded to be fed and played with, and that took her mind off freaking out. She had searched the room to at least find an ID that told her her name, but hadn't found much else before the dog also decided he wanted a walk. He was well-trained, too, even bringing her the leash and leading the way out of the building because he knew it.

The problem was that once she was in town and started checking everything out- and why were there so many stairs?- she had no idea how to get back to the building she'd woken up in. Yeah, she was totally lost.

Natalie's plans with her parents visiting Brazil had gotten delayed, so last night she'd taken advantage of a portal deal back to fandom, in the hopes of meeting some friends and maybe flagging Jim down for a visit too.

So of course this morning she'd woken up with no recollection of that. Or anything else, beyond what she'd actually been able to see around her, which had been a hotel room and a bag with far too few personal belongings. The things in the wallet offered some insight, but all of it was baffling, and distressingly unfamiliar.

She'd obviously needed to clear her head, so she'd headed out. And once she'd bought coffee at this place called 'the Perkolator', she took a seat at table by the window and began to go through the contents of the wallet – her wallet? – in earnest.

It was very confusing and she didn't like it one bit.

Dani wasn't sure why she was on this island that was clearly not anywhere near California. She had no idea how she'd gotten there, or why she came here without Dad and Junior. There was only one thing that made sense when she started exploring her surroundings. There was a barn full of hungry horses waiting to be fed. Even in an unfamiliar barn, Dani felt completely at home. She was just going to hang out here and take care of the horses until she got some answers.

The Gig was open, even if the owner didn't realize that the place was hers.

The man had woken up in a black bustier with a leggy brunette (that part was okay, the bustier DECIDEDLY NOT) in a strange hotel room.

He stopped only to find new clothes before bolting from the room, which was why he was now at the coffee shop in a hotel robe (STILL BETTER THAN THE BUSTIER) drinking black coffee and working his way through the entire pastry selection.

He didn't even know his name, okay, and there had been WOMEN'S CLOTHING involved in whatever he'd done the night before. Sugary carbs were the only way to cope, okay.
