Anders' progress around the shop today was hobbled by the fact the decorations apparently had it in for him. Or at least, he had no better explanation for why there were strands of metallic ... stuff that kept climbing his legs and arms like vines on a tree. (Very quick-growing vines.)

Every magical defense he tried worked for only a moment, if at all, and eventually he took to continually pacing the perimeter of the shop. Staying in motion was tiring, but it kept the garlands from getting a foothold.

Atlas Gym, Sunday Morning

Clint had every intention of getting real work done at the gym today. Then, he'd encountered the garland and now he was trapped in a chair at the front desk. The good news was, he could still roll around on the chair's wheels. The bad news was, that was about all he could manage at the moment, although he was getting close to getting one arm free.

Was it Christmas yet? He was kind of ready for Christmas, really.
