Someone, and Éponine was guessing the gremlins, had made sculptures out of all the coffee creamer cups from the break room overnight. They were impressively elaborate, and probably some kind of shining example of ingenuity (she guessed it had taken some doing to recreate some of the statues that she was fairly sure she remembered seeing in the Luxembourg), but she sighed loudly, got an empty mail bin, and started taking the sculptures down to put the creamer back in the cabinet. They needed that! Coffee was important!

She did take a few pictures on her phone first, though.

Also, it was nice to know they probably weren't going to run out of creamer for a long time.

Vic had been spending most of her time the last few weeks doing her best to avoid the oddness of the island.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but there's been no arrests or warrants made for anyone involved in a naked mutiny. I'm afraid you'll just have to deal with the fact they got away. Especially since they were really just naked and there really wasn't any kind of mutiny."

That was a pretty hard thing to do at times. Saying things sarcastically to people calling into the station helped.

Maria was at work bright and early and was in a big time cleaning mood. So, whether it needed it or not, almost everything in the store was being carefully dusted. Cleaning or song writing always helped her when she had things on her mind and she was pretty sure it was frowned upon to work on extracurricular activities at your job.

Then again, it was a music store.

She'd ask Jono the next time she saw him about working on her own music when business was slow.

The stereo was playing soundtracks from Eighties movies and it was at least something she could listen to without wanting to throw things at the stereo today.

Sweater weather was just around the corner, but it was still warm enough for Mary to get some use out of her Las Vegas wardrobe. She was wearing one of her favorite dresses today, even if the use of sequins was a little bit excessive. It didn't bother her. She knew she looked good and it showed in her confidence as she ordered Gunther around.

A bee had gotten into the bar. Kitty didn't care. It's fly around but leave her alone, and she wasn't about to kill it when it wasn't hurting anybody. Tino however, was swatting thin air because it might enter his vicinity. So that was what you were dealing with, bar patrons! A docile bee and Tino looking like he was either creating a new dance move or having a seizure, or maybe both.

It was another day at Stark's for Jessica. Do some paperwork, check on some repairs, fire a probe drone into another dimension so she could hopefully get an aerial map and make a plan.

How weird was it that it actually was just an ordinary day? Jessica knew that she never had a shot at actual normalcy, but things had gone above and beyond recently.

Anyway, the shop was open!

Sometimes, you just needed to get some air. When you were a vertically-inclined... something, you took that literally. Sometimes, anyway. Dante had draped himself against the roof of the Kiwk Stop, his feet dangling down over the wall, a cigarette between his fingertips. No rain yet, so it was basically like the universe wanted him to hang out here, right?

He'd been lounging up there for at least ten minutes when he first heard the noise. Mewing. Angry, slightly desperate mewing. He tilted his head up and found himself eye-to-eye with a scrawny looking cat-- and it was definitely a cat, not a kitten.

"Huh," he said. "Thought the island would only have fat plump housecats." Like Anders' cat. Lach-something.

The cat skittered further down the roof until it was sitting right beside him. It was scruffy, too. Dante reached out lazily and scritched it behind the ears. It didn't run. Hell, it leaned into it, purring. "At least you haven't lost your taste for a fun time." Or maybe it just liked him. Stray cats usually did, and he liked them right back. Better than the fat ones.

"Well, my roof's your roof," Dante said. He took a drag off his cigarette with his free hand. "No need to purrsuade me."
