As he'd predicted, there was no around for Bellamy this weekend. He'd hoped, sure, but it hadn't been that serious and while he was disappointed, he wasn't wrecked. It was what he'd expected, after all.

He was sitting behind the counter, feet propped up and an unloaded firearm in his lap that he was cleaning and fixing. It was a nice looking gun so he didn't want to put it back in bad shape.

The door to the shop was propped open, letting in the cooler weather.

The Woods, Saturday Late Afternoon

When they sat down and really thought about it, April and Mal decided that obviously, the best activity that two Lumberjanes could do together (the best friendly activity, anyway) was to explore the woods together. It was just what they knew.

So yes, April and Mal were going on an adventure!

April had her notebook, Mal had the flashlight, and they were ready to meet some teal deer or anything else that came their way!

Student Art Show, Community Center, Saturday Evening

A meeting room at the community center had been nicely appointed for an evening show of students' work, with pieces hung on the walls and a small stage set aside for monologues and musical performances. The food wasn'tquite as abundant as it had been the day before, but there was still plenty of cheese, crackers, crudités and non-alcoholic beverages to go around -- plus some wine for anyone who was or could pass for 21.

And, of course, there was glitter on every horizontal surface. Some traditions were important.

The Gig, Saturday

The massive pile of acorns that had blocked the barn entrance last week was now scattered all over the ground. They gave a satisfying crunch as Dani stomped on them with her boots. Hopefully business would be good this weekend with extra visitors on the island, and having an unobstructed barn entrance would help.

The Gig was open!

Groovy Tunes, Saturday

Jono could make himself available in his office today, but the truth of the matter was, he would really rather claw out his own eyes than spend a day sitting at his desk waiting for somebody to come along to grill him on what he was teaching their little darlings. Besides, he had a business to run, here. There was a new Janet Jackson album out yesterday and instead of getting any copies of that in, his supplier had shipped him double copies of the new Trivium album.

Which... hey... great. He had no doubt he could sell them all given enough time and maybe some kind of dedicated metal marketing strategy. The band had never really wowed him, but... somebody had to like them, right?

Anyway, he'd left a map on his office door back at the school directing anybody who might care to talk to him to come out here, where he was aggressively hunt-and-peck typing e-mails back and forth to his supplier. No, extra copies of the new Sevendust album weren't going to get Janet on his shelves, either. And he was sure Avicii was great, but... Janet? Please?

No he didn't need a life-sized cardboard cutout, just send him the bloody albums!

Okay, the cutout couldn't hurt, either.

The Perk- Saturday afternoon

Aunt May had been here last year, but Gwen showed her around again yesterday anyway. Really, she just wanted a reason to spend as much time with her over the weekend as possible before she went back to New York. And today, quality time meant coffee.

"So what have you been up to today?" Gwen asked as they took seats.
