It was really kind of overkill, wearing a wreath with candles on it while he was already on fire, but Jono had been a resident of Fandom Island long enough that he barely noticed, really. Honest. Sure, it meant it would have been one hell of a struggle to get one of his t-shirts on this morning, but that really just meant that today was a day of wearing his bandages in lieu of a shirt, the way he did all the time in high school, and sometimes still did these days just because he was feeling lazy.

On the plus side, at least the stereo was cooperating, today. Just to be spiteful, Jono was killing the holiday music and throwing on some Jethro Tull, instead.

Nothing said 'gearing up for the holidays' quite like mildly aggressive rock-and-roll flute.

There. He felt better about the whole wreath thing now.

[OOC: Open! OCD-free because lazy, but around!]

Sparkle hadn't taken two steps into Demon Marcus today before squinting. Before squinting a lot.

"What? Why the hell...?"

Apparently the mannequin display had rearranged itself overnight so that, instead of wearing cute festive clothing and sweaters of questionable ugliness, they were all decked out in weirdly padded mismatched rags and creepy homemade masks. One of them had a stick in hand. The stick... was wearing a boot. And had a wig on.

"I don't even... Which one of you is even which? No. No, you know what? I'm not even going to touch this one."

Demon Marcus, now advertising the finest in Mummering fashions.

Luke needed a break from the craziness of his home galaxy and had hopped a portal back to Fandom without checking the calendar...which meant that the candle crown that had appeared on his head as he walked onto the island surprised him more than it should've.

The Perk staff, also sporting lit crowns, gave him a little "what can you do" shrug as he walked into the store.

"Right," he said with a slight grimace. "Advent. Hot chocolate with peppermint then," he added. "Please."

Might as well enjoy the season, right?

[OOC: Guess who mainlined the original trilogy yesterday!]

"This is seriously all you've got?"

Tamsin eyed the bewreathed guy behind the counter. The man became more fidgety under her glare, his eyes darting towards the display. "Sorry," he said. "We lose too much money this time of year because of all the free pastries the island hands out, so--"

"You're recycling island-pastries," Tamsin said flatly. "Ugh. Tell me you at least have hot cocoa, or something."

The man smiled nervously. "I can offer you pepermint--"

"Next year," Tamsin said, "I'm selling you people to Starbucks." She walked away from the counter and sank down into a seat.

The poor barista jittered. "Can she do that?" he hissed at his nearest colleague.
