All work and no play made Jack a dull boy. And made JARVIS make snide remarks until Tony left his lab. But the joke was on him, Tony could keep an eye on all the security sweeps through any system associated with the Red Skull with his brain now.

So, ha.

"I've lived here for over a year and I didn't realize this place existed," he admitted, looking around at the quaint arcade games, bowling lanes, and lone pool table. With one pool cue. Because apparently they wanted only one person to play at a time.

Which was about as weird as someone doing the Charleston for eight hours at a time.

[expecting one, but open of course!]

One moment, Fandom Island was sitting outside a wooden dock by a great castle. The next, her consoles flared on, there was a blinding flash of light, and the island - bubble and all - had vanished.

She flashed back into life high up in the sky above the city of Nos Astra, Illium. Two volus and a lost quarian stared up at it, surprised, but everyone else went about their business. It was probably another guerilla marketing technique.

The island floated gently in the air all by itself for a short while. Then it passed by a large skyscraper, blazing its name (MATRIARCH TOWERS) in large, futuristic neon lights, where it came to a shuddering stop. The causeway extended outward until it touched a huge balcony. It clamped onto the edge with a loud clang.

None of the half-dozen asari milling around the balcony looked up, either.

Welcome to Illium, folks.

[[ wait for a little bit of ocd up and open! ]]

He'd forgotten to ask Alana if it would be fine to bring Dark Nation with him but Rufus was the type more inclined to beg forgiveness than ask permission anyway…

Oh, who was he kidding? He apologized very poorly and very rarely.

Rufus watched as Dark Nation sniffed excitedly around the store front and then looked at him.

"Go on," he said, waving him off. "If anything bites you, bite back. Otherwise, be good."

Dark Nation yipped happily and dashed off into the stacks. Rufus set about going through the motions of opening the shop for the first time.

He'd disappear into the stacks soon enough to find something to read once everything was to his liking up front--though, of course, he'd be listening for any customers.

Book Haven is Open.

After freeing herself from her candy-like prison last week, Jones went back to the court for a few days in order to catch up on the current status of some of her former charges. Suffice to say: They were all being silly teenagers.

Jones returned to Fandom Friday morning to notice that the island's location had changed once again. She took the opportunity to explore this new location before heading to the perk and ordering a cup of tea.

While she didn't need to drink anything, she enjoyed the aroma of this particular blend and was quite content to sit and observe the current clientele and staff.

Didi badly wanted to be off exploring the planet Fandom had landed near most recently. Even from across the causeway it looked positively vibrant.

But as that wasn't an option during her shift, she contented herself at the bar creating space-themed cocktails. Eventually, she got draw into an argument with Tino over whether she did or did not still work at the bar. It was surprisingly hard to persuade him that she did; he kept saying he hadn't seen her in months, like that meant something.

[OOC: Open bar, open post.]

Some of the staff were a little jumpy because it was Friday the 13th. Some of the staff were jumpy because Parker had been doing her appearing-disappearing act on them again.

"Are we sure she's human?"
"Are we sure she's alive?"

Evil giggles drifted up from the floor.
