Alluka had had great plans to play dress up (she was feeling like doing something along the lines of a mermaid theme for her toys today, and for herself if she could find something) but when she came in, clutching her sheep and her bunny, she stopped in the door.

She hadn't made it into work yesterday because all of her clothes had been really mean. From the looks of things, all the clothes here had been really mean too.

Like her stuff, all the clothes that had been gone yesterday were back. But also like her stuff, they were all neatly folded and sitting around in stacks and stacks and stacks. Almost nothing was hung up properly.

"That's not fair," she complained, setting her toys down on the counter and trying to figure out where she should start. She couldn't just leave them that way. There'd be no fun at all and they'd get all dirty again.

The hotel's washers and dryers were finally working again. Mary's own clothes had reappeared last night, for which she was grateful because she had been reduced to wrapping a bed sheet around herself yesterday. However, there were some extra things that turned up with her own clothes that she didn't recall owning.

She'd brought the extras down to the front desk in case someone wanted to claim them, but as she looked through them one by one, she couldn't imagine someone wanted to claim the pasties with the tassels, or the fishnet stockings, or the crochet dress with such an open weave that it barely covered anything...

"Oh my goodness!" Mary exclaimed as she realized something. "The island thinks I'm a stripper so it 'returned' someone's stripper costume to me."

The cook and the dishwasher were both only wearing aprons when Eliot came into work, today.

"You guys realize that we got all the clothes back this morning, right?" he asked.

"You're in here naked all the time," said the dishwasher. "And covered in meat."

"That was one time," Eliot said. "And I'd literally just turned back human after being a wolverine for a week."

The cook shrugged. "One time, all the time, half of one, six dozen of the other."

"Get dressed," Eliot said. "Now."

The speeder bike Rey had found last week was now back in good working condition. There was still some work to do, but it was enough that she felt comfortable zipping around town (not too fast, there were people around) for a nice little test drive.

At least this felt more like normal life.
