Anyone walking into the community center this week would find a certain song blasting at top volume.

"ISN'T THIS AWESOME?" Archer shouted above the din. "HERE'S THE GAME! WHENEVER YOU HEAR ROXANNE EVERYONE TAKES A DRINK! SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE! Let's go!"

While the bright colours and gentle creatures had been a welcome respite from the last two stops, it was once again time for Fandom to move on.

This time, it found itself nestled next to a large building, itself the size of a small city and several stories high. Sensing that the sunlight wasn't exactly of the kind that was healthy for her residents, Fandom had been about to activate that protective bubble again before a shimmer of wizardry emanated from the large building and worked to extend the island. It seemed this world already had an accomodation in place for such an eventuality. Which might seem odd, but then, this was a planet whose main industry was driven by things only wizardry could accomplish. They were used to odd.

The industry in question was, of course, worldgating. The large building was home to the Crossings Intercontinual Worldgating Facility. Wherever you needed to go, a friendly Rirhait would be happy to direct you to the appropriate worldgate. Or perhaps you just wanted to explore the Crossings itself, with it's multitude of shops and restaurants (try the blue food cubes!), not to mention that stunning Lilene architecture.

Sparsely populated as it was, the planet's skyline during the day wasn't much to write home about, but nighttime was something else entirely. Nearly all the other stars in the cluster were short-term variables, some with lifespans as short as hours or even minutes. The view was one of the main reasons for the implementation of the elective ceiling that now covered Fandom, because why should visitors to the Crossings be deprived of such a view?

Welcome, everyone, to Rirhath B!

Yeah, Dante wasn't bothering with the guitars again. Didn't seem like it was worth the effort.

Instead he spent his day rifling through the stacks again, poking restlessly at things, blasting loud, aggressive industrial music and, on one memorable occasion, vanishing from the store for over an hour to wander around town and look at stuff on his phone.

He just needed a distraction.

People would have to forgive Peridot if she was the slightest bit antsy, today. This place that the island had landed on seemed to be some sort of hub for portal-like travel, and the possibility that she could just leave the island and find a way to warp to Homeworld again had been chewing at her all morning. So she was here, and she was doing her job - she had responsibilities she needed to see to, of course, in case the portals here didn't lead to home - but she kept looking out the window and shifting from foot to foot, wanting the day to just be over so that she could make a mad dash to somewhere familiar, if the possibility existed.

How hot were toasters supposed to get, again? This one seemed to be working so well after Peridot's repairs that the bread was lighting on fire and using the heat generated to boost a wi-fi signal. Good enough.

The island had shifted again. At least this time there was no screaming sun to keep Allie from getting to work on time.

Which meant a pouting Tiny was back to washing glasses behind the bar while she supervised.
