Sparkle wasn't entirely certain what the draw was when it came to bubble popping games for mobile devices. He had like three of them on his phone, himself. One of them had Snoopy trying to rescue little Woodstocks, even! And he played them in his spare time whenever he was feeling too lazy to cook or clean or do his nails or whatever.

So when he set foot in Demon Marcus today to find that all of the stock had been sorted away into colourful bubbles which were stuck up on the ceiling, he realized, this was his moment to shine. Probably. He seemed to have a limited number of matching bubbles down on the floor beside him, so maybe he'd have to hold off on actually popping anything until a customer came in looking for something in particular.

Anyway, it took him three tries to rescue the cash register with a matching green bubble. Aiming was way easier in the phone games, and he'd never been good at, like, basketball.

After spending Friday night very thoroughly acquainting himself with the wonders of absinthe at John's place, Kanan had spent yesterday thoroughly acquainting himself with the misery of a hangover. Today he was feeling more or less human again, though he did give the cook such a look when he suggested a green theme today. To keep the spirit of the holiday going, apparently.

"No."

Today's Specials:
Spinach Pancakes and Corned Beef Hash
Broccoli and Kale Soup
Green Velvet Cheesecake
Spicy BLT Green Bloody Marys

Kanan didn't know whether to throw something at the cook for all the green, side-eye the green drink with the bacon and lettuce sticking out of it, or be impressed that the cook managed to work pancakes into the specials for the day, too.

"I hate you."

That would do.

If anyone had been keeping track, they might have been surprised to find that Ringo actually spent even more time on AT workouts when Crazy Apple was calling the shots than she normally did. And after a week of being out among the warehouses for almost every waking moment, she was starting to feel like she was almost back in shape.

Not only had Ringo spent a couple of weeks mostly in her room, and not out riding, but the past couple of years Ringo hadn't even been exercising the parts of AirTrek that Crazy Apple prioritized. And while all those big jumps and arcs might be fun, and might look cool, they weren't especially valuable in a fight.

So the past week had been basically entirely focused on precise movements. Starting, stopping, abrupt turns and spins, and accuracy had been the order of the day, and it was paying off. Crazy Apple wasn't precisely satisfied with her performance, but she was willing to accept it as a good start. Fandom could be a dangerous place, after all, and Ringo had been neglecting proper preparation for that danger. It was clear that Ringo wasn't mentally prepared to really deal with something like that little jaunt to Los Angeles, but she'd barely been physically ready for the demands of the fighting there.

And Crazy Apple did not like to be unprepared.

So she fished a bottle of water out of her backpack, took a couple of swallows, then returned it and went back to her practicing. She flew across the warehouse rooftops almost silently. Only the whine of her ATs accompanied her, with none of the laughing or excited whooping that Ringo usually rode with. This was not a time for having fun. This was a time for getting ready.

Just in case.

Well, Jono had auditioned people for the band last weekend. He supposed at the very least, he could open the Boards today for people to discuss what in the world they were going to do with the band, today.

He didn't have the heart to turn anyone away. They were all talented. Or, if not talented... ah... enthusiastic. So he'd left handwavy messages for everyone who had auditioned, telling them that they were in if they wanted to be, and they were welcome to join him at the Boards today to discuss where to go from here. And then he'd ordered pizza, because if having a band (sort of) wasn't an occasion to order pizza, he didn't know what was.

Hell, he'd even brought his bass guitar along. Just in case talking today wrapped up quickly and people wanted to play something.

Shit, it seemed like maybe they could actually pull this off. That was... it was nice.

[OOC: Open! Feel free to stop on by, even if you didn't try out for the band. There's pizza.]
