Turtle & Canary; Thursday [10/26].
Thursday, October 26th, 2017 01:35 pmApu had been going over inventory reports and purchase orders with Amaya, and it was not going well. She'd nearly fallen asleep twice and now she was worried she was going to go permanently cross-eyed as she tried to process the information. It wasn't that she couldn't understand it; she understood just fine, but there was so much of it! And it was so boring! And it seemed way more complicated than running her small little shop in Daventry.
Finally, she just couldn't take it any more. She let out a loud, frustrated sound. "I can't do this anymore!" she said. "That's enough for today. Look at these hands!" And she held them up for him to see, even if they were covered with gloves. "These hands were made for balancing swords, not checkbooks!"
She needed to get out of this job. Luckily, there seemed to be plenty of space available for a possible forge and blacksmith shop; she'd already made the blueprints in her head of a few locations. The only problem was that she didn't exactly have the money for it, after buying this place (which was supposed to be a blacksmith shop anyway!) and the house and then blowing all her money on gardening supplies earlier this week...She needed to find a way to make more money and hopefully do it quickly.
So there was a new sign in the window, and Amaya spent the rest of her day tinkering with a new weed whacker idea inspired by the engine powered ones they sold here, just to make herself feel better.
