Yeah, now the island was starting to feel a chill to go with the changing seasons, which Kanan was actually kind of grateful for as he sat meditating in the park today. The usual training sword was set to the side awaiting his student, and the usual dog was having a grand time splashing around in the pond, terrorizing the ducks.

All-in-all, not a bad day. He might stay after training Tip in order to run through his Soresu forms again, too. He was kind of itching to assemble his lightsaber today.

It was funny. That was usually a sure sign that it was time to leave and never look back, but here it had become just another Friday. Kanan wasn't entirely sure what to make of that.

[OOC: Open for hilariously incoherent pings from work after a night of insomnia woo! (I just typed 'insombie.' Twice. I think that's what you become when you ping on three hours of sleep. Braaains.)]

With the last weekend before Halloween approaching, the Troopers were really getting in to the spirit, it seemed.

It wasn't just the station that was decorated, oh no. Someone (Calvin, Liam guessed) had found a bucket of orange paint somewhere, and now all of the Trooper helmets were a shade of pumpkin-bright orange.

"... I really hope that washes off," was Liam's only comment as he tried not to laugh. Orange-helmeted Troopers would look awfully silly post-Halloween. Not that they didn't now, but at least it was seasonal.

Hera was here today, but if she was spending more time researching places to get Halloween costume things than organizing the scrap, maybe she'd be forgiven?

Kanan was going to be the best mirialan ever, and if she was going to be enjoying a day out tomorrow as herself...well, she wanted to be a fun version of herself.

But the junkyard was open!

It had been a long couple of weeks, but the place was finally ready. The bar was all set up. The dabo tables were all set up, and manned by the prettiest humans Quark was able to talk into working for him (they weren't the best he'd ever found, but then, humans had never made great dabo girls). The replicators were set up and programmed with all sorts of ridiculous human foods, there were decanters of real blood wine all set for the more discerning palates, and the holosuites were (mostly) debugged and ready to go.

Now all he needed were some customers.

"I miss Morn."

[open! Wheee!]
