Jono was sort of hard at work at the music shop today.

He was... at least going through the motions, at the music shop today.

Okay, he came in today, turned the stereo on, and was now texting back and forth with Jubilee, who was telling him all about what Shogo had put her through that morning, complete with photos of him laughing in the woods near the school's new location, keeping company with a pair of raccoons. Lee had nearly lost her bloody mind, but apparently the raccoons were friends of Lin, and so Shogo was completely fine.

That conversation had led into talk about the students and how they were settling in, and how the powers-that-be were considering splitting the students up into classes depending on what sort of training they needed, which Jono was... mostly on board with, except that Lee was being spare on the details, which was something she generally did with him when she knew his reply was going to be less than thrilled.

A good two hours of prying got him the answer he needed but hadn't particularly wanted, and so Jono was going to spend the rest of the free hours of his shift with his face in his hands, somewhat disgruntled about being the one assigned to train up what seemed most likely to be the X-Men's next generation of heavy hitters. He couldn't deny that he was in the best position to train any of them the self-control they needed in order to even just get by in life, given their power-sets. But...

Ugh. He'd do it. Of course he would. He couldn't not. But he knew how these things turned out. He'd danced that dance himself, after all.

Okay, so, it was time for the Valentine's display to come down, and...

Sparkle frowned at the window display thoughtfully. He didn't want to start putting, like, Easter or St. Patrick's Day stuff out yet. One was still too far away and the other one was just kind of overdone to the point of being tacky. He could do a display of, like, gear for outdoor winter activities? But it had been warm and rainy the last few days, he wasn't so sure he'd be selling a wealth of ski pants right now regardless.

He could... uh...

Hm.

Well, this was a dilemma.

Sale, Today Only!
Coordinate an outfit for a mannequin in the window today,
Get that same outfit for yourself, 1/2 off!

The answer? Let someone else do it.

Kanan stepped through the door into the kitchen of Luke's today to pass the cook an order.

Everyone in the kitchen just stared, and frowned. And continued to frown as he walked back out of the kitchen, making his way back to the counter, where he got comfortable again, pouring himself a coffee.

In the kitchen, Kanan could hear the muffled arguing of the staff, which ended with an exasperated, "Fine, I'LL do it," from the dishwasher, which led to the door opening, a wet sploosh, and the aggrieved yelp of the dishwasher as he was hit with the full slosh of the bucket of water that had been rigged to fall when somebody went through that door.

Welcome to Luke's!
Today's Specials:
Honey Chipotle Grilled Chicken
Meyer Lemon and Rosemary Brûlées
Pancakes

Kanan smirked and sipped at his coffee.

It took quite a little bit of tooling, but Amaya had finally pulled it off. Desperate for a project to keep herself busy, she had taken an idea mentioned by Sparkle almost offhandedly from her class last week and ran it with, so now she had a sticker gun rigged up to shoot little chips of razor blades.

Yeah. It was definitely not a kid friendly project.

The counter looking more like a mechanic's worktable than a check-out area, Amaya put the final touches on her sticker-razor-blade gun, cackled in a way that made Apu feel slightly worried, and then set her sights on the Squishy Machine, the perfect target on which to test it out.

The startled little cries coming from Apu soon after she pushed the trigger was a good indication that the gun had worked. So was Amaya's triumphant, "Huzzah!"

"But...the Squishy Machine!" Apu argued (a bit too late).

Amaya just shrugged, waving her hand dismissively. "I'll fix it."

One project begat another. It was a thing of beauty, really.
