Fandom Post Office, March 6 (Tuesday)

There was nothing especially out of the ordinary at the post office today, though Éponine would never stop expecting something new and ridiculous to happen at any given time. It was just easier that way.

Still, so far, nothing unusual outside of the typical and always somewhat unnerving quiet of a school break week, so she was occupying her downtime by sorting through the problem mail. Several people had just drawn maps on the fronts of their envelopes instead of including an actual address, but that wasn't actually unusual here; it just required a little bit of extra work.

The problem that seemed to be most prevalent today was incorrect postage. There were no less than four envelopes with various forms of currency just taped directly onto them in place of stamps, which was definitely a problem in the case of the bells that weighed far more than the postage value of the letter they were supposed to be paying for. One had bottlecaps glued to it, but those weren't heavy, just a little bit sharp.

She sighed and started looking up currency conversion rates, just to decide whether the interdimensional Return to Sender process was going to be more trouble than it was worth for these.

Furnado Animal Shelter, Tuesday

Zack had brought his dog, Girl, in to the shelter today. Which was probably fortunate, because today there were a bunch of new puppies in, all floppy and tripping over themselves, and in need of some direction. And Girl was nothing if not a helpful dog, so she was stepping in and kind of herding them around the lobby, showing them the ropes around here. She had been in the shop for a while before Ino had taken her home, after all. She knew what was up.

Zack decided early on not to interfere. It was kind of soothing watching Girl round up the pups, and always entertaining to see their little tails going behind them as they did their best to keep up.

He had the best job.

Covent Garden Flowers, Tuesday

Nathan took one step into the flower shop today and stopped short.

The shelves were bare. Completely. Utterly. Totally bare. With the exception of one... unique... thing sitting on a shelf in the middle of the room. Nathan, for the life of him, had no idea what the hell it was meant to be. It was just...

Well. Some manner of plant life, anyway.

He shrugged, took a seat at the counter, and pulled out a newspaper to read. If this was a Fandom thing, the stock would be back in tomorrow. If it wasn't, it was Peter's problem.

Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty had been on all but one of the trips since she’d first started teaching here, so it was a little weird to be here in town when it was quiet.

But it did mean that she was using the quietness to have a dance party behind the bar, and anyone who cane in would of course be expected to join in.

Groovy Tunes, Tuesday

The island was mostly empty today, thanks to the spring break trip, which meant it was about 1,000 times easier for Raven to make her way into town for her shift. She was lounging happily at the counter, occasionally singing along to the music the stereo had picked for the day while she flipped through red carpet pictures from the Oscars last weekend.

She felt almost human today. It was kind of weird.
