Jono had contemplated wrapping up for his shift today, except for two things.

First, if he wrapped up now, he was going to be tempted to keep wrapping all semester. It was one thing when he covered his face to leave the island. It was another thing entirely to give himself an excuse to do so in the place that he more or less considered home. And if he did that outside of special school events that had people coming in from elsewhere, then he wouldn't be able to stop.

He knew himself that well.

Second, and this one was important, he didn't feel like it.

Which probably seemed like a given, but this was Jonothon Evan Starsmore, who had a very long history of doing things he didn't want to do out of fear or self-loathing, and so he figured that today if he wasn't feeling like hiding away in his own shop, he bloody well wasn't going to.

It felt good. He was going to reward himself for that by sitting himself down and playing guitar between customers. Pearl Jam, just to be extra self indulgent.

Demon Marcus, Sunday

Sparkle was antsy today. For a few reasons, really, not the least of which being that he was going to be heading to Coruscant tonight, partly to play buffer between Atton and Mical, partly because he actually found himself missing the place, and partly just because he was telling himself that he could. It had been almost two years since that thing with the Iridonic Horn, and if two years wasn't enough time to get his head around something that he knew, logically, probably wouldn't happen again, then he never would.

And he couldn't afford to keep writing off even those places that had been good to him up until some fluke caught him off-guard.

The other reason, and this wasn't a small one either, was the stupid holiday today. Which he'd forgotten about until he came in and some little kid wandered in looking for something nice for a gift, and he wound up spending twenty minutes going through cute scarves, kind of resenting everything. It wasn't the kid's fault, and so he'd been polite and helpful the whole time, but if any of his customers came in and asked him what he was planning for Mothers Day, he was going to lose it.

Anyway, Demon Marcus was open, and the end of Sparkle's shift couldn't possibly come quickly enough. Shit.

Stark Industries- Sunday

Every year Rey forgot about this day until it happened, and then she just had to feel weird about it. She was a little more hopeful this year than most, but still trying not to think of it.

She'd just be at work, fixing all the things. Including one or two things that didn't need fixing.

Luke's, Sunday

Kanan came in today to a pretty distracted Luke's staff. They were all taking turns covering each others' shifts so that they could take some time out of their day to call their moms. Which, Kanan had to admit, was kind of sweet. Hell, he was even sort of touched when the busboy came over to him and asked him if he needed to make any calls.

Kanan shook his head.

"Not today, no. But thanks."

Hell, it was even kind of nice when the busboy gave a respectful apology if he had stepped on anything sensitive. Kanan wasn't entirely sure what was up with today, but working with a staff that seemed to actually be decent people who weren't just out to make him cranky was, for once, a nice change of pace.

Abandoned Warehouse District- Sunday afternoon

As she'd told pretty much everyone she'd talked to, Sabine started her day at the Portalocity office in town, pleading, cajoling, and threatening them to get her a portal home. In return, she was told that that particular portal was closed for refurbishment, and they'd let her know when it was open again if she'd like to sign up for their email list?

Then Sabine had to find out what an email list was, and how to get on it, and long story short she had a phone now.

Since she was out anyway, and was apparently going to be here a while, she decided she would get the lay of the land and see what the place was like. She didn't think there was really anything special, at least till she got to the warehouse district, because that felt random and what would a town like this need with warehouses? So, she snuck into one, and found... nothing. There weren't any supplies, it didn't look like anyone had been here at least for a while, there weren't any marks by anybody to say they'd been here... which meant there was a giant open space with a ton of potential. Oooh.

Within a few minutes there was an orange symbol on the door and Sabine was planning out exactly what she'd need for what she wanted to do with this place. Sure, she could be upset about not going home- not that she was going back to much of anything anyway- or she could do something productive.
